Recommended Stay
near night market, near Nathan Road, near Yau Ma Tei MTR, clean
9
Stayed in HK for 3 nights with my sister. Our main reason for visiting HK was to shop and to see the sights. We picked the Dorsett Seaview Hotel mainly because it was very near the night market (Temple St.) and near the Yau Ma Tei MTR station.
Room size is adequate in size for my sister and I, but may be too cramped for other people. Bathroom was clean but really limited in space (bigger people might have hated the shower size). We especially liked the shower head because it was the big, overhead type. The water pressure was good too, but the shower drain wasn't too efficient in draining water during the last day of our stay.
We didn't try their food so I can't really comment on the hotel food.
Hotel staff are accommodating but not really that approachable/friendly-looking. Service is good, though, but would be even better if matched with friendlier staff.

4 Days 3 Nights in HK's Dorsett Seaview
It is really comfortable, clean and professional service staff!
8.7
It was comfortable where the room despite being a little smaller than what we expect. Say about 3m X 3m for the sleeping area. It is comfortable for us as a couple who spend most of our day outside and just use the place for sleeping. Our friends who are staying on other hotel came over to check out our room and agree it is so much better and confortable then theirs (Casa Hotel).
Room consist of:
- Basic Toiletries
- No Bathtub, Shower Area
- 1 Queen Size bed
- One L Shape table to put our stuff
- Bedroom Slippers
- Safe ( Our friends at casa hotel had no safe in their standard deluxe room! and they paid more for the hotel then we did for ours!)
Restaurant Tip:
Opposite the hotel is a famous chain of dessert stall and you should definitely have the dessert there ! Super yummy!

Dorsett seaview is the right hotel, if you are looking for value for money stay. It is within walking distance from the train station, and has the famous dessert stall just opposite the hotel.

Dorsett Seaview Hotel
I like the room, even it quite small (this is standard for HK hotel) but it useful.

Dorsett Seaview Hotel is good choice for family or people who wish to visit Hongkong. The room small as usually in HK but there are had done renovated, toilet very clean. You could reach hotel via hotel bus cost per person from airport is 100 HKD this is worth because if you take the Airport train already 90HKD/person and still need to pay for MTR. For shopping, there are MTR station nearby hotel at 'Yau ma tei' exit C. then turn right walk just 2 mins, the hotel just opposite 'Tin hau' temple.
Nightlife Tip:
around hotel every night have night market and food street.

good value and comfort for first time visitors
staff were very helpful; a phone was available in the lobby; internet available int he restaurant for a fee; clean; refrigerator in room

The room was comfortable--clean; electric water kettle with tea and coffee packets, refrigerator, shampoo and t.paper; clean; helpful staff that spoke some English; the restaurant was decent; internet was available for a fee in the upstairs restaurant; central location; telephone available in lobby. Staff were able to give us directions and they allowed us to keep our backpack and luggage there before we checked in and before we moved to the next hotel. We didn't read the directions on the credit card key for the room, so we didn't know that you had to insert it into the wall device in order to turn on the lights. When we called for help, the staff brought us a knife because we said something about the lights not working. A funny misunderstanding, but one that was easily resolved in person.

Worth to stay
Near to MTR, lots of foods surrounding and near to Temple street
8.7
Out of expectation, the room is clean and comfort. Much much better than any Tune hotel outlet. All facilities included: towel, shower gel, air-conditioner, kettle, hair dryer, TV, slipper, carpet floor, hot shower, etc. All are FREE compared to Tune Hotel. Thumb up!
Shopping Tip:
Must visit Temple Street.
