Very frustrated with entire facility
4.3
We started out with four nights in Central on Hong Kong Island and then moved here. The taxi ride from the MTR station took almost 30 min and cost about 150HK dollars, that's after we waited in line for the cab for 40 minutes. If you choose to go, take the ferry, it drops you off a 5 min walk from resort.
I had tried to contact hotel prior to arrival about having a child with us to make arrangements for a bed. When we arrived we got a room in the north wing. Big bed and bath but they wanted us to pay $45us per night for an extra bed, or the 9 year old could sleep in the king bed with us. Wifi not free. Can pay or you get two hours with every meal check or drink at the bar. Restaurant was less than impressive. Tables were covered with dirty dishes at dinner time and service was terrible. We waited over 30 minutes for our food and when it arrived two of the dishes had obviously been heated up in a microwave. The free breakfast had lots of food but nothing fantastic, and again service was horrible and dishes remained on tables for hours. Staff weren't very receptive to questions and requests, especially when having a complaint. We checked out after night one of a four night reservation and weren't even asked why we were checking out early. Very few other places to eat in a close proximity. If you are up for away from EVERYTHING and just want to sit on the beach or get into the mountains to bike and trek this may be the place for you. If you want to see Hong Kong and all the activities, stay somewhere else.
Restaurant Tip:
Don't eat at the hotel, however there isn't much else to eat aside from McDonalds by the ferry dock.

Quiet, sleepy location next to the beach.
Nice room with very comfortable bed.
8.3
Recommend this hotel and location as a place to get away to relax.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Only 30 minutes to Central by ferry.

Disappointing
The staff was nice. The walk along the beach in the evening is lovely.
4.7
i was disappointed in this hotel. for the price i paid, the room is very much in need of remodeling but they are obviously not putting any money into that, so they should drop the rate by at least half. everything is very worn and out-of-date (looks like a tired hotel room from the sixties.) the toilet leaked and the bathtub, although clean, was not inviting. don't book a room here unless they lower the rates - at least not in the south wing.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a bus from the ferry pier to see the Big Buddha - it's well worth the trip. You won't want to hang out in your room here!

simple but nice
good location, beautiful view of ocean, nice patio to enjoy the view, "homey" feeling
7.3
this was a much needed getaway weekend and the hotel helped to facilitate that. it was pretty "no frills" (no elevator, had to run down to reception to get an adapter, etc.), but the room was clean and comfortable. the biggest selling point for me was the location, near the ocean and in a quiet neighborhood. there are many seafood restaurants nearby, as well as some other good western restaurants in town...which is only a short walk away. the front desk staff people were friendly and helpful. the buffet breakfast was good, but the same every day. and there was only the option of a buffet dinner in the evenings...would have liked the option of ordering off the menu.

Nice hotel right on the beach
Across the road from the beach. Nice, clean, and spacious rooms.

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Food was not good but there are some local Chinese seafood restaurants to try. Also many Western restaurants in town, only a 10 minute walk.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take the bus to see the Big Buddha!

relaxing hotel at outlying island
Location is good as it is situated near ferry pier
7
location is good as it is situated near ferry pier. Since there are not many hotel choices in outlying island, I pick this hotel for the weekends. It does not disappoint me as the front desk staff is nice with good service. Hotel room is comfortable but it is not new at all and it can be more clean as I expect it is a hotel instead of a hostel. breakfast buffet is nice though you cannot expect too much on the choices. But the taste is acceptable and the staff still refill the food even it is nearly the end of breakfast session. It is impressive as that day the hotel is fully occupied and so food can be cleared once the they are served. Therefore, staff needs to keep refilling in order to maintain the supply. it is a nice experience in overall.

Very enjoyful stay with kids. Lots of family visitors and all enjoyed staying on the beach for various water activities. However, the buffet dinner and breakfast did not have sufficient food to feed the crowd. Too many people (or to few staffs to serve the excess demand).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Nearby hiking or cycling route.

a comfortable hotel
close to ferry pier and beach
7.7
It is a comfortable hotel for relaxation in lantau island. The location of the hotel is convinent after borading from ferry pier. It takes only around 10 minutes to reach the hotel. It is close to the beach, children can enjoy playing soon after they step out of the hotel entrance. the price of the hotel is resonable. I enjoy the one night trip in the hotel and i wound also recommend people live there.

A lovely resort and we would love to come back
Close to the ferry Pier and the beach

This is the second time we stayed in this hotel. We both love Lantau. Also, it is the only hotel that we could book from internet, so the rate actually is not that cheap.
The hotel facilities are basic, not luxury. The swimming pool is good, but the gym was closed for renovation during our stay. The breakfast buffet is also good.
Try to avoid staying in the weekends as the locals from the city love to stay there during the weekend.
