Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

The rooms are starting to look a little worn out now.
However I've stayed here a few times now because it's right next to Times Square and really convenient for good shops, restaurants, and the mtr.
Convention centre is a 10 minute walk and the horse races are very close too. It would be nice if the hotel had a loyaty scheme or even recognised returning customers, but this doesn't seem to happen!
Restaurant Tip:
fish market is 5 seconds away and makes for a rough and ready meal but with the freshest fish around.

Relaxing Hotel
Close to an open air market; wide variety of shops and they have a doorman to make help you find your way and instruct taxi drivers
9.3
Got an upgrade to superior room. That is a little bit bigger and easier to move around the room. Everything works, the hotel restaurant is very good. Staff are very helpful. Open air market nearby and many small shops - more like old Hong Kong. The doorman is very useful for getting taxis and instructing them.
Shopping Tip:
Old style Hong Kong shops and open air market

South Pacific Hotel, Hong Kong
This hotel is conveniently located in the Wanchai District with easy access to public transports. It is about 5-10 mins to the nearest entrance of Causeway Bay MTR. From there it is another 5 mins to the platform. The Japanese style toilet seat is a little charm!

I was staying in the executive studio with a good view of the city. The room is spacious. But the cable TV connection was very unstable during my stay. I reported to the housekeeping and they could not fix it. The breakfast was standard American style buffet with both Western and Asian food. I was not at all impressed by the quality. You can easily find some local cafes and restaurants nearby serving much better quality food than the hotel. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel unless you have no other choices (like this tiem when i stayed there).

Good Accomodation
accessible to shopping area, restaurants & street food.

The hotel is accessible to the shopping area, restaurants and street food. It is accessible to transportation as well. The rooms are a bit small and old though it is good enough to accomodate 2 persons and it is clean. I like the bed, it is firm. The staff are effcient and courteous.

Our stay at the South Pacific
6.7
Although the hotel was very pleasant we found the carpet in the room was well worn and quite dirty. The rest of the hotel was nice but the lift carpets could do with renewing. The staff were more than helpful whenever we had an enquiry and went out of their way to assist. We found we had to use the internet and were guided through the use of this and for printed information we required. The hotel was in a very central area for the trams and buses but the underground was a bit out of the way unless you knew your way around prior to your arrival.

Nice stay, great foods nearby
- Helpful staff
- Cleanliness
- Great location

The things we like abt this hotel:
- Great Dim Sum (Tao Heung Restaurant), Desserts (Chung Kee Desserts, Honeymoon Desserts) and fresh seafood eating houses along the roadside (open in late afternoon and always full of locals, the food and reasonable prices would compensate for the fact that these are by the roadside) within walking distance
- 5 minutes to Times Square and Causeway Bay MTR
- less than 5 minutes walk to a Tram stop

We were very unsatified with the hotel as the room was badly clean. Hairs, dusts and rubbish were found in room. The hotel however have good location. The price seems too expensive though. For the coming time, we may consider shift to other hotels.
