location bordering the observatory makes for a quiet room

good in house food and lots of nearby food choices
the rooms are small, but hey...this is HK. Try getting an end of the hallway room. They are larger.
The Stanford Hillview Hotel is unique in my Hong Kong hotel experience. It boasts a superb location from many perspectives:
•easy access to the best of Kowloon shopping
•located at the head of a street with more than a dozen fine restaurants of varied cuisines
•excellent cost/benefit ratio
•suprising extras like free shuttle to airport express station
•fast friendly service throughout, but especially at the front desk
It has become my regular Hong Kong residence
Hotel Feature Tip : A room and the end of the hall is larger and the ones that border the observatory of very quiet and boast a nice green view!

located on high ground made it inaccessable to some.
Situated on a hill top, the climb to the hotel is an unenviable task for the old, ladies and the young. Its proximity to excellent food stall along the main road makes the hotel a great choice of entertainment and stay. Further exploration revealled a roll of western restaurants behind the hotel where one can wine and dinner till the wee hours.
Restaurant Tip : Good hotel, great food but charge too much.

The Hotel is situated in a higher ground. Locality is close to Kowloon hotspots like shopping and dinning.
Rooms are small but clean. Bathroom also very small and basic.
The hotel is reasonbly priced but I do not feel the high rating it has got from many is justified. It is not a bad hotel but not a very good one either. It is not a real 4 star but more like a 3 star. Actually Hongkong hotels are overpriced and 3 stars here are as expensive as 4 stars in Macau or Canton.
