Lobby is very old. Toilet in the room quite bad and the room is too small. No much facilities in room.Hair dryer is very bad.No water refill in the room when you stay more than one night. Price is not resonable .

Good Location but the hotel is old

The hotel located in very good location. It's very near shopping center and they have a lot of restaurants around the hotel. But The price is quite expensive when compare with the room and other facilities. No internet and no breakfast. Lobby is very old and small. But hotel can have service to delivery you to the Kowloon airport express that you can connect to the Airport with in 30 miniutes. But you have to make the revervation for the bus.
Travel tip:
At the kowloon station you can check-in for loading your baggages directly to the HK airport. There are the counters at the station. If you want to loading your baggage at this station, you have to check-in 1.30hrs before the time departures.

Stanford Hillview Hotel - April 2010

We stayed in the Stanford Hillview Hotel for 3 night in April 2010. We found the hotel very comfortable. The location is very near to Nathan Road, on a small hill, but the way through Miramar center and Knutsford Terrace make the access easy and nice. The room and bathroom are clean and comfortable and with good size. The staff gave us very good information and was very kind. There are a lot of local restaurants in the neighborhood and international ones on the Knutsford terrace and the access to Hong Kong transports and attraction is near and easy.
Travel tip:
Walking to and from the hotel through Miramar escalators and Knutsford Terrace will make your way much easyer than through Kimberley and Observatory roads

I would definately stay at the Stanford Hill view again as the Location, price and service was excellent. Also the breakfast buffet was reasonable and had a good selection.
The rooms were in good condition and nicely renovated.
As I mentioned the location is great, 50m from a wide variety of restaurants and also many shops and shopping centres.

Nothing special
This is first hotel I stayed in Hong Kong who provide free broadband in rooms.

From Airport express bus stop you have to walk a long for about 10-15 minutes, and later few hundred mitre on hill like road. So very uncenveient with luggage. Rooms are ver small, but clean and with all facilities. The good thing is they provide free broadband in rooms.

Small, boutique hotel
Location right on Knutsford Terrace with a lot of restaurants and bars. But the area is very quiet while convenient to everything. The internet is free.

El Cid is quite good. The restaurant's happy hour is a good deal and the buffet is excellent and great value.

I usually try to time my visits to HKG so that I can get a decent rate and stay here. This year I was lucky: they were full and put me in a top floor premium room. It was very nice. The hotel is quiet, in a good neighborhood, and convenient for Nathan Road activity. As said, you can avoid the hill by using the rear B1 garage entrance.
Shopping Tip:
If you miss the hotel Airport Express shuttle, there is an AE bus stop down the hill on Kimberley Road. There is also a decent wine shop (for winos) across the street.
