Great location

great location. but will be great to indicate the directions to the hotel.we have walked a longer distance to the hotel in a hot sunny day.this will aid new travllers to find their way to settle down on the 1st day.
food are easily availble around the hotel area.. shopping area is also within walking distance.
bad point are:
counter staff are not as smiley. thus, do not expect for high standard of customer service as in 5 stars hotel.
the policies are not flexible. no extension of check out hours or any additional hotel stuff such as pillows, towel etc. there will be charges imposed..
th counter staff should remind or highlight the guest on the bathroom fan. it should be on during bathing as there is a water sprinkle above the shower and is real sensitive. we encounter 2 false fire alarms (luckily) consectively for 2 days. fire engines came and check..and realised that some guests bath and did not on the fan. thus activate the fire alarm.
the bed mattress is hard but still fine for young adults but not for older people and may have bakache after that.
a flight of stair before reaching the reception. fine if it not carry a heavy luggage or alot of stuff.. maybe difficult for people with acute knee issue.

Hotel with a good location and comfortable room

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The bed was comfortable and the housekeeping was done regularly each day. The toilet was clean and looks great. However, the area tends to be noisy during the night time, and this might be a problem for light sleepers like me. The reception staff are quite helpful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
For tourists who intend to head down to Disneyland, you can purchase the tickets directly from the hotel.

This hotel is has very good location. It is just behind Langham place mongkok. Room is very spacious and enough for couple stay. Toilet is equipped with jacuzzi massage shower equipment. overall very nice hotel. There is only 3 rooms per floor. Only bad thing is there is no lift from the street up to the hotel. Hence, you will have to carry your heavy luggage up and down when you check out. The room door is very heavy and you need to pull harder to close the door and it will create a big bang sound to your neighbours next door. Hotel also provide free wifi for all guest.
Shopping Tip:
Conveniently located just behind langham place mongkok. Very easily access to the shopping mall. Street shopping like Argyle centre, fa yuen street and ladies street are all nearby within walking distance.

Great location but expect noise
conviniently near to mongkok mtr station, walking distance to all shopping streets around mongkok and great eateries. hotel is clean, free wifi is great!

this is our 3rd trip to hong kong, and this round we searched for a hotel within good walking distance to mongkok mtr. found sunny day, which is like 5 mins walking distance to the mtr.
with reviews from other travellers, we expected to have to carry our luggage up the stairs to the first floor hotel lobby. its not too bad because its just a short walk up the stairs, manageble.
this is the smallest hotel room i've stayed in so far (previously stayed in grand century and metropark mongkok).
3 bad points i wish to highlight from my experience:
1. room is small, no wardrobe to hang your clothes. 2 extra hangers were provided, so, you can just pile up the clothes you need to hang, and hang it on the stand.
2. pillows are too soft, like almost flat, and the bed is super hard. not so comfy after a tiring day around hk.
3. expect noise! there is a bus terminus just right opposite so you will be hearing bus roaring, honking, and loud chatters of of the drivers late nite...so, if you are one that can't endure this, skip this. i'm at the 6th floor and practically can listen to thier conversation...loud!
Shopping Tip:
sunny day is just right opposite langham place shopping mall. super great for last minute shopping!

Room very sizeable for a Hongkong room.

clean sheets, bathroom, and room. although wife complained of itchiness the next morning, but i was fine. maybe skin sensitive.
all the amenities were there. size is comparable to a normal deluxe room (space is a luxury in hkg).
location was superb. window view was langham place's swimming pool. our friend was staying at langham but it did not look too different from our room, not for the price diff anyway.
walking distance to arglye centre (3-5mins), right next to langham place shopping centre where the h&m is.
everyone talks about the flight of stairs to the lobby. i don't see why it's such a big deal. unless you have a monster luggage it should not be a problem. bring it up once when u check in, and down another time when u check out.
Restaurant Tip:
everybody should go to matchtoo cafe at langham place shopping mall. it's actually opened by a hongkong celebrity but more importantly the food is superb! try their truffle risotto or the lobster truffle spaghetti. and for 2pax the meal costs less then s$30.

Great Location! It's near MTR Mongkok
Near MTR Mongkok station, Near Ladie's Night Market, Clean and Affordable

Sunny Day Hotel is a comfortable place to stay in. It's hard to find at first because it's just a small hotel, people don't know it very well. What I like about it is the big wash room and the comfortable bed.
