decent price, communal toilets, free wifi in the lobby. Rooms not too shabby.
About 15 minutes walk from the MTR station, with ladies market right around the corner where you can shop for knick knacks.
Shopping Tip:
Ladies market is a short 10 minutes walk away.

Good location but needs upgrading
Good location, nice reception area, clean bathroom with window that can be opened, value for money

it is cheap compared to other 3 star hotels. Essential facilities in my room working so no complaint, except the decoration is a bit outdated. Noisy air-conditioning unit kept me awake the first night. Staff made amendment to it as soon as fault was reported, but still was not quite right during my stay (7nights). Outside corridors look terrible on all floors, and metal doors leading to individual rooms do not help the image of being a prison / camp.
Some noisy guests talking loudly in the corridor early in the morning, knocking on my door and telephoning me, mistaking me as one of their friends.
Friends in UK could not have their calls put through because Hotel staff said they did not know my room no.!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Good location for all kinds of activities. Library next door provides free internet, and short cut to Waterloo Road, for those who finds walking up Man Fuk Road challenging.

Bad Manner of the staff and the backpacker is really far from the MTR station and it is hard to find the location!

None. Sharing bathing and toilet with the tourist in the floor...

simple hotel, friendly service
not expensive, rooms comparatively spacy - suitable for two people, very clean

the rooms are spotlessly, with ac and a window.
washing machine and dryer available - makes packing easy.
staff mostly friendly.
busers 7 and 8 to star ferry - very convenient.
walk to mtr with luggage not advisable (but possible, depends on amount of luggage).
we didn't use the restaurant of the ywca, so can't comment on it. loads of eateries around.
Travel tip:
easy to get to the Star Ferry and across to Hongkong, walking distance to flower market, bird market, jade market, even to the hotspots on Nathan Road

Price is reasonable.
Quiet location and slept well.

An average class hotel. Some staff are friendly and some requires training to improve on guest services especially the Housekeeping Department. Bed sheets not changed on our third day of stay. Overall impression was good.

The facilities were basic and sufficient. It is quite a long walk to MRT for older people.
Restaurant Tip:
There is one small dim-sum restaurant walking distance that was note in Michellin guide. If you do not mind queuing up for a slot, and then queuing for a table. You may wanna give it a go ...

Lovely hotel and have a good service

very nice hotel,room was very clean and the staff also very nice. this hotel location is behind the library and you can find it very easy. it also near to wang kok mrt station and we only take around 15 minutes walk can reach this mrt station. we also can take the small green bus which no. 28c to reach this hotel. very nice location.

the lift is very very slow speed, had to wait for a long long time. the door of the room seems old enough and easy to "break". No slipper in the room!!! The TV old enough. The washroom when take bath, all water splash onto the floor, no conditioner for hair. Also, too noisy in the morning, some of the people check-out and can hear cleary what those people talking. Overall, if for the price over 600 for giving me such a room, that was not worth and was not a cheaper price. If I pay for 600 for a hotel room, I can find other more comfortable hotel. Also, the location is not good, had to walk up to the middle of the hill, too far from MTR and bus stop.
