Seoul good
service, price, convenience.
6.7
the hotel was near, really near, the korean red light district. as an adult that was quite an interesting experience but i'll say families should not really think about booking this hotel. that said, the rooms are extremely spacious and the stay was utterly enjoyable. we extended two more nights n they gave us an upgraded room with a personal pc in the room to surf the internet and all. fantastic service.
just try not to come back at 3am as we did. the ahjumas (aunties) will usually come and try to pimp u girls.
fun experience but families shld be warned about this i guess.

Nice budget hotel
Nice clean hotel for a good price
8.3
This is a really clean budget hotel. I stayed on the women’s floor and it had two clean shared bathrooms. The room had two twin beds, TV with two English stations, and a sink. It is in a convenient location 10 minutes walk from Mongkok subway station. I would stay there again.

It's a great hotel for its price. Unlike the cheap Indian kept hotels, this one is clean and comfortable; no strange insects or other surprises to expect here.
The only minus I would say is the location - but then again, taxi's are available day and night, and even after paying some to the taxi, it still comes out way cheaper than anythin else...

This hotel is excellent for its price; OK staff, clean, and unlike other hotels of this price range it's without insects or so :P.
The only minus would be the location, which is about 30 HKD distance from Tsim Sha Tsui.

good but not great
Very Affordable Room, Clean Room, Clean Shared Bathrooms w/ Warm Water, Nice Maids

For those on a budget or those that just like spending their vacation dollars on things other than lodging, this is a great place to stay. We booked these rooms and it was was a bargain compared to other accommodations. We initially booked on Nathan road but after seeing the dirty shoe box, we decided to go elsewhere. The YWCA is located a short walk from 2 subway stations (on 2 different lines) so it was very easy to get to anywhere in the city. The room we had was very clean as was the shared bathroom and showers. The front desk staff was nice as well as the maids. We did have one problem during our stay. I brought my laptop down to the lobby one evening to get on the internet and plugged it in to the only outlet I could find. The cord couldn't reach the chairs in the lobby so I brought the litte chair from my room down. After a short while, one of the senior staff people came out and asked me where I got the chair from and I told him I brought it from my room. Then he told me I couldn't plug my computer into the wall! When I asked why not, he said that the hotel would lose money if I use that electricity and that I could go up to the 6th floor business center and pay $30HKD for 1 hour to charge it. I asked why would I do that when I could charge it in my room? Then he said the outlet was only for the cleaning staff. I went back upstairs. My wife (who was in the lobby with her own computer) asked him afterwards what the problem was. And he told her that when people use that plug it shorts out things in the security office. Now, I don't know what the true story is since he changed it so many times but I know that the guy had an attitude. If they don't want people using the plug because it shorts out security equipment, why don't they remove it or put a cover over it? And if it does short out equipment, why would you let the cleaning staff plug vacuum cleaners, etc into it!? Anyway, would I stay here again? Maybe...
Restaurant Tip:
skip the attached restaurant -- the food was not very good

The Anne Black YWCA Hotel
Good rental for visitors who just nap at hotels and spend most of time on taking tours outdoor. 10 minute walk from Mongkok (electronic market and lady market), 5 minute walk from MTR station You Ma Tei
8
The Anne Black YWCA Hotel was exactly same as it was advertised on Agoda. The payment was done accurately. The receptionists promptly executed well in completing procedures. The lifts worked scientifically that we did not have to wait for long but they were just enough for maximum of 4 persons per turn. The bath rooms for men are away from the ones for women and they required hotel keys to get in that made it safe for users. Things were in order seriously. We were happy staying at The Anne Black YWCA.

i felt worried whether the hostel is clean or not b4 i checked in. its really a surprise for me to stay here. the price was very reasonable, the hostel was decent, neat, check-in speed was ok. so if u dont mind using public toilet and shower(they were very clean), and dont want to spend too much money on accommodation, this hostel would be a great choice.
