other reviewers' comments about poor service at guest reception are overstated. lobby attendant quality is appropriate for an international-class 3-star hotel (comparable to courtyard marriott in USA). buyer beware: room tariff fluctuates wildly depending on demand, moreso than typical.

big room but very bad location

the service was great at this hotel they let me go for an late check out for an extra hr - and the people remembered my name after staying there a couple of times.
Shopping Tip:
theres not much to shop around in this area, so if youre lookin to eat or shop this is def not the place to be but its close to the mtr so its still okay

try to advoiding eating during lunch hrs noon-2 those times are impossible to get a seat since sheung wan is close to lots of offices

The Bauhinia Hotel Central was very comfortable.The Hotel is in an exellent location very close to Central station walking distance so very handy to catch express train to airport.The hotel is also close to many other shops and ferries.The room was very comfortable great bed nice large bathroom.

i am very impressed with the staff at this hotel. i got there at around 9pm and got my late check-in ok. service was quick and understanding. the next day went i went about my business i had to ask for some assistance and they reception was more than happy to oblidge. they helped me immensely and without hesitation.
the room was clean and well equipped. the price is a big high compared to other hotels, but the area is perfect, many great places to eat and near the mtr.
i recommend this to any one going to hk.

Tucked away from the hustle & bustle of the busy business district in Sheung Wan, things get really calm after dark as most hong kong natives return to the Kawloon side of the island after working hours. Lovely Taiwanese restaurant located next to this hotel that serves typical Hong Kong breakfast. We ate there for a few days as it is less chaotic than the others restaurant along the area. Ultilised the MTR station that is located just across the street if you are staying here. Also the Macau ferry terminal is closed by. Just needed to cross the footbridge to get there.

next to sheung wan mtr and bus stations, nearby affordable restaurants and convenient stores, free wifi, nice and helpful staff, lovely and cozy room, a couple blocks away and walking distance from shopping and hip nightlife center of hk island

We checked in without our missing luggages and the front office staff was very helpful and upgraded our room to executive room for free. The lovely and cozy room was enough to mend our disappointment towards the airline due to the missing luggages.
Hotel Feature Tip:
It is always helpful to call the hotel beforehand to check on the hotel location and how to get there the easiest/quickest way.

New hotel that is very near mtr

It is just a street across from the mrt exit but it located on the small street and not main street. So it's not that easy to locate. But room is new and amenities provided for. Had a great stay there
