My experience in The City View

Very near to MTR and there is a free airport express bus direct from Kowloon MTR station to the hotel. Alot of nice food around the area. Walking distances to the night market.
The rooms are not really that big and the bell boys are so hungry for tips. They wont help if no tips is given.

I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights between 20-26 May 2010. I booked a Superier room but I got upgraded to an executive room. Hotel located near shopping and easy to find food near the hotel. The hotel is quite clean and the price is acceptable with good facilities such as gym and swimming pool.

Generally i'm quite pleased with the hotel.
The room is clean and feels relateivly new. It is nearby to MTR station and markets so location is good.
Service of the staff could be improved especially bell boy and room service. Some experiences i had:
Upon reaching the hotel, the bellboy was kind enough to come forward to open our door and take our luggages but its wierd that he left them at the road in front of the entrance. I thought at least he should placed them inside the hotel. The mini bar inside the room was empty. At 1 time, we asked for warm water for medication purpose, but was told "dont have". So i asked for water and was told dont have too.
Was quite surprised to see that the mini bar was empty.On 1 day, i had asked for warm water for medication purpose but reply i got was "dont have". So i asked for drinking water and still reply was "dont have". Couldnt understand why.

Clean but Dated Room

I booked the deluxe room and felt that the hotel room is small like any other hotels in Hong Kong. The room is very clean but the decoration is very dated. The location is near to MTR but there are little food or shops nearby. The staff in the hotel is very helpful but I feel their service and attitude can be better. Hotel is safe as there is a security guard at the entrance from midnight onwards.

This hotel sucks

the front desk clerk that i dealt with upon checking in was truly clueless. there are two towers in the hotel, and that clerk pointed me to the wrong tower. we were not happy at all having to carry our luggages up and down in the middle of the night (we arrived after mid-night). when i later asked the night security guard, in cantonese, where the business centre was, he told me to go ask the front desk, even though it turned out the business centre was right next to where the he was standing. the kicker was the same front desk clerk pointed me to the wrong direction again.
the corridors are really dark, giving the hotel an unwelcoming feeling.
this is not a four star hotel. no way.

Stay at CityView Hotel, HK
The hotel is just 5 minutes walk away from the Yau Ma Tei MTR Station, and about 10 minutes walk away from the shopping area. Very easily assessible.

I like the location very much, as the MTR will help me to travel easily around Hong Kong in a more affordable rate. The shopping district (Ladies Street) is also very near, so at night I don't have to worry about getting back.
Late night supper can be easily satisfied as eateries are spread out along the streets behind the hotel.
I will definitely come back again. :)
Restaurant Tip:
Lots of eateries around there, so look around first before deciding on the final one.

Cityview in HongKong
Very near MTR so, it is easy to go to anywhere in subway.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights between 16-19May2010. I booked this hotel from Agoda because it is easy to book and pay by credit card. I planed to stay a hotel a night in HongKong but I selected to stay all 3 nights at this hotel since it has a promotion 10% discount if I stayed at least 3 nights. I booked Superier but I got upgrade to premier room :-) It is easy to access to the MRT and near Mong Kok in which the Ladies Market and electronic shops situated there. It is easy to find food near hotel. The hotel is quite clean but sometime noisy from the front door of the room. Finally I think it is good to stay here but the price may be a little bit expensive without breakfast included. The security is good. I can recommend you to stay in this hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It is 2 stops away from TSIM SHA TSUI where you can find a lot of places to visit and especially Symphony of light near the peer.

My stay in Cityview Hotel (HK)
The room is clean and neat. The hotel is situated very near the MTR thus geting around is very easy.

What I liked about the hotel is that it is very accessible to shopping areas and food places. The area is not rowdy and the service standards are quite high. The counter staff have a good idea where to look for good dim sum and give good advice. The room with double bed is clean and comfortable.

I would strongly recommend travelers to stay in this hotel as it is very value for money, especially after i heard that hongkong hotels are very small. But definitely not this hotel, or maybe because i was upgraded to a superior room. However, i felt there was nothing much around the hotel and to go to the main shopping area with the more interesting shopping centers, may need to walk about 5-10mins from the hotel. But overall i was happy with the stay in this hotel!

our stay is pleasant. The hotel room although quite small, is neat, clean and sufficiently equipped with all the necessary amenities. The Yau Ma Tei station is just walking distance from the hotel which make it very convenient to travel around the various parts of hong kong and kowloon. Besides, the hotel also take care of security especially at night whereby a guard would check the room number before allowing staying quest to go in. overall its a nice hotel.
