The cityview
service was good and quick
6.7
room was clean and everything was available. The view from the hotel was great and the room was quiet. No disturbing, but if somebody calls up the room should be informed from the reception!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
great view from the hotel, close to everything. Even walking distance. MTR is very close by.

Decent Hotel Near MTR
Location - it is just a block away from MTR Yau Ma Tei Station exit A.
8
We only stayed one night but I thought it was a decent hotel, mostly attributed to it's close proximity to the Yau Ma Tei MTR Station. The staff were pretty nice. The rooms are a little dated but were pretty clean. The room sizes are okay, they are small compared to Western standards but it's a typical size for a Hong Kong room.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel is sort of tucked away off of Waterloo Road as it's not on the main road so you'll have to look a little more carefully for it.

Stay in The CityView Hotel
Room is relatively big and clean. It is also located very close to MTR station and within the Mongkok shopping district.
8.7
My criteria for choosing a hotel for this trip are: 1) within my budget of below US$100 per night, 2) in the city area, 3) within walking distance of shopping district, 4) near to MTR station and 5) room has to be clean. I am very happy that CityView Hotel met all these criteria.
On the day of check-in, I lost my voucher. The counter staff was very friendly and helpful. He brought me to the business centre to print out another copy, even thought he is busy.
On the day of check-out, I was not sure of the most convenient way of getting to the airport. The concierge was very patience, explaining to me the various options and suggesting that I take the feeder bus from the hotel to the airport express station.
Overall, both the counter staff and concierge have made my stay in CityView very comfortable.
Shopping Tip:
The Mongkok shopping district is within walking distance from the hotel. Do remember to make a night trip to the "Lady street".

Nice budget in the heart of kowloon
Very reasonably priced when booked through Agoda. Nice hotel rooms newly renovated. Check in/out were fast and hassle free. Free connect shuttle bus from the Kowloon airport express station.
7.7
The area is nice and quiet at night but at the same times its at the heart of Kowloon. 5 min walk to Mongkok ladies market from the hotel so I was never bored during my stay. Very good value for money. I would return.

LIttle gem in Hongkong
Less than 1 min walk from the Yau Ma Tei MTR A2 exit. 7-11 and Circle K convenient stores directly opposite the hotel. Asian eatery also opposite hotel.

I had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel despite the room being a little cold. I was given an upgrade to the newly renovated executive floor that overlooks the Kwong Wah Hospital/Mongkok side. Carpet/bed/flat screen tv etc were all brand new. Free bottled water was a plus.

City View Hotel, Hong Kong
- near the MTR
- right on Nathan Rd and Waterloo Rd. for shopping
- has great options for local foods
- has 2 fantastic little local food stores directly across: one for rice congee, one for pastries (beside the 7/11 and OK Circle Store)
- the staff are very helpful: in particular, the front desk and the concierge
7.3
The City View Hotel is located at a fantastic location for food and shopping in the heart of Kowloon.
It can be reached painlessly from the airport. And upon check-in, the adventurous traveller can in effect just walk out and hit the shops and restaurants. This is possible because the Yau Ma Tei MTR station is less than two minutes away.
Hotel Feature Tip:
You may also want to note that there are four little shops across the road for the tired traveller who doesn't want to venture too far after check-in: a rice congee/noodle store, a 7/11, an OK Circle Store (24hrs), and a bakery.

Cityview Hotel, Hong Kong
new and clean room, near to Yau Ma Tei MTR
8.3
This hotel has upgraded some of its rooms. All fittings and furnishings are new. It is located near to the Temple street and Ladies' market, popular tourist attractions for varieties of local food and souveniers. It takes only 5 mins walk to the nearest MTR station - Yau Ma Tei, which is only 2 stations away from Tsim Sha Tsui, the hot spot for city shopping.
Restaurant Tip:
2 famous Clay Pot Rice restaurants at Temple Street attracts long queue every night. Must try!
