Central garden in HK
the location, in between HK park and the botanical gardens. Near to Peak Tram. Lovely sized room and view. Buffet breakfast good for vegetarians

I chose this hotel due to the location of being near Central but not being in the heart of the business district. It was a convenient location to access many tourist places in the central region. The room was spotless and was a good size. The staff were very helpful too. The swimming pool was fine although I think the 2 lifeguards was a bit too much.

THe hotel is correct, the rooms are smalls but clean. The staff is doing well. But you'll have to take a taxi to go there. from Central MTR.

Nice stay at The Garden View - YWCA Hotel
Cleanliness, amenities, good service, and proximity to Central are quite exceptional considering their price range.

The hotel which is located in McDonnell Road is quite convenient for my purpose of coming back and forth in the Central Area. Transport cost became manageable because of this which is my first priority in choosing this hotel plus its very affordable price offer. I was really delighted with what I got which is beyond my expectation. The courteous front desk staff and accommodating personnel. The clean room and amenities was fantastic. This is of course considering the price range that they are offering. Although, I am not much of foodie type much more of a late breakfast (or 'brunch' I should say) type of person, I find their breakfast offering quite delighting. The variety and quality can really prepare you for a whole day of activity. I would definitely book again to this hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel is pretty much walkable to & from the Central area specially in the morning. Furthermore its in hillside location which makes easier to walk downhill. Coming back, if you are too tired to walk and you do not want traversing uphill, taking a cab will not cost you a bomb because of its proximity.

We absolutely loved this hotel! The rooms were newly renovated and we almost felt as if we were living in Hong Kong since it was in such great residential area. The breakfast buffet was also a great perk. If you have an aversion to walking up/down steep hills though, this is something one should keep in mind before staying here as the hotel is located in the Mid-Levels. This can be averted if you don't mind taking taxis or the bus (12A from the Admiralty MTR station).
Shopping Tip:
There's a Park 'n Shop supermarket not even a two minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel was beyond my expectation for the price that i have paid for. Just that the location of the hotel puts me off, as it is not near any trains nor major shopping area within some 20min walking.
Weather at 30degrees in HK at this time don't really encourage me to walk.
However, if you can stomach the taxi fees, which is not too expensive. This hotel is great for the money that you pay.
O by the way, taxi is just 5mins to shopping belt. That is of course depends on the traffic condition.
We ate the hotel's breakfast. Nothing much to shout about, just decent breakfast.

City views and a long walk up the hill
Good room with a view. Elevated position and a short down hill stroll to the central part of HK Island. Get a Taxi back. The nearby Zoo is well worth a visit.

Stunning views and a convenient place to stay particularly if you want to go up the peak. The Star ferry is a pleasant walk away down the hill.

good food as well.people are well behaved in fact the recpetionist helped us with some hk $ when we didnt hv some to pay for the taxi.taxis are bit costlier better to use public transport. this hotel lies in a one way traffic so we hv to go around for reacing central
