The rooms are very clean with up to date decore, the staff is very friendly and speaks good English, and the breakfast was very good.

For more than 2 people the room would have been a bit small but for the 2 of us it was plenty big enough. The hotel is a little ways from the train but the walk down the hill is not bad at all. The walk up the hill after being out all day is a bit difficult. Taxi's are always available no matter where you are, so that makes it all good.

We loved our stay at the Garden View. The staff was able to help us with any of the questions we had and helped us out with maps of the area and how to get where we needed to go. The walk down the hill in the mornings is quite beautiful and only about 7 - 8 minutes to the trams and buses. Taxi's are always right out side the door waiting for someone to use them. The hotel is very clean and modern and we had a city view which was beautiful to see at night. The breakfast had better than average ratings by others but we think that it is even better than that. The selection was good and the quality was very good. The bed wasn't as soft as we would have liked but not too bad. We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed everything about our stay. We would stay there again if we go back to Hong Kong.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The tram to the Peak is a beautiful ride and there is fun shopping at the top along with some good eating and beautiful sites. It's a fun place to visit. The zoo is right across the street.

Clean Staff was polite

Messages left with Front Desk was not promptly delivered. Infact delivered 3 hours later.

The reservation for our stay at the YWCA, HK was smoothly executed. The room was clean and the staff very polite and helpful. Infact when my safe was accidentally locked, the maintenance man was in the room within minutes. The breakfast that came with the room price was good and the staff in the restuarant was also very courteous.

Good location, good value for money.

Not so good breakfast.

The hotel is nice and in a good location close to central station. Price/quality ratio is good, since this hotel is inexpensive compared to many other hotels in that area. The rooms are cozy and big enough. However the breakfast was a disappointment, since the selection was not good especially for a vegetarian...Also, the pool was shady and did not look as nice (it was tiny).

Rooms are relatively small with hard bed, but a convenient location. I would stay there again.

gREATprice for the money in HK Friendly staff Awesome breakfast(if you can get there by 9:30am)

Construction is going on so its a bit noisy at times -- although the hotel discloses this before booking. Not close to underground system so requires a taxi or a healthy walk to get to public transport for the new tourist in town.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : botanical garden nearby was a nice plus

Modern, clean, good rate, good-sized room, professional staff, good location

Renovation work in neighboring rooms, but not too loud.

A lot better than we had anticipated for the price. Good-sized rooms, that were very modern and clean. Good amenities and close to Central. Would definitely stay here again.

Very cheap compared to other HK-Hotel with similar offering; Clean and (most importantly for HK-hotel-rooms) reasonable room-size; In-room safe; Close to HK nightlife area (5 mins walk, but 10 mins walk back as you have to go upwards)

You can't really complain for that price.

If you don't like to the steep walk back to the hotel and you don't want to afford a few dollars for the cab-ride then you should get a closer hotel, but you'll also probably pay at least double the prize then. Ask for garden view!

Very nice hotel, clean, large rooms and bathroom with tub. Close to central, business and shopping center. Located between botanical and zoological garden, nice views. Close to supermarket with all you may want. Pool, complimentary breakfast, gym

It is a bit of up-hill walk from central, this however give you a quite night sleep and better air, but you may need taxi (only HKD 18-20)

This is indeed one of the best value for money hotels I have been to. First I thought the YWCA meant it was more like a motel or hostel style, but it is like any better hotel. Great newly refurbished and large rooms with great view of the gardens, quiet in the night, large bathroom with bathtub. Nice staff. Clean and tidy. In this area hotels are generally very much moore expensive! Easy to reach all shopping and restaurants. Walking distance to central, admiralty (Pacific Mall) and wan chai. Maybe you will need a taxi back but it is very cheap and very easy to find everywhere.

Restaurant Tip : Tai Ji in Wan Chai is a very nice restaurant if you would like to try not expensive traditional chinese with english speaking staff! They are very nice and have the worlds best pork dumplings You will find them in the crossing of Luard and Jaffe road above Joe Banana

This hotel is located in Central, midlevels, close to all attractions. Very nice hotel, very clean, large rooms with great view, nice staff.

Located in a both nice and hard way, uphill walking requires unless you take a taxi. On the other hand a taxi in central is 18 HKD only. Restaurant staff is very friendly but do not speak english very well.

This is probably the only very affordable hotel in central, nestled among the luxury ones you get very much for your money here. Large, newly decorated rooms, spacious bathroom with tub, many TV channels, gym, pool etc. Breakfast is included in the price, not much for a vegetarian like myself but for meateaters more than expected. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Maids are very good at their jobs, you will get a very nicely cleaned-up room everyday. This hotel is located in a quite corner between zoological and botanical gardens. Walking distance to great shopping and restaurants (central, soho) but located in more quiet midlevels. I can certainly recommend this place

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : For 130 HKD you can grab a taxi to Stanley Market and Beach. Value shopping, great food and very nice beach all in one place
