It is very close to Wanchai where you can find a lot restaurants and shopping places. Furthermore, my wife and I can have morning and afternoon stroll at a park nearby.Transportation is also quite convenient, about 15 minutes walk to Wanchai subway station. More or less the same walking distance to go for a ferry to Kowloon side.

Harborview Hong Kong - Clean, Compact, With A View

The Harborview Hong Kong (not/not the nearby Renaissance Harborview, so be sure to tell the taxi driver 4 Harbor Road Wan Chai) offered compact but clean and comfortable rooms. We paid a little more for a harbor view -- it's Hong Kong after all! The bed is firm -- well very firm and hard for many, but I carry a light weight inflatable backpacker's air matress when I travel in Asia. The front desk staff was accomodating when we asked for a bit later check out.
Restaurant Tip:
Great range of restaurants nearby on Lockhardt road, though you'll pass by some of Wan Chai's famed night life in the evening.

the harbourview hotel
very near the convention center

this is the place to stay if your main purpose in visiting hong kong is to go to the convention center nearby. otherwise it's quite inconvenient to stay here when you're planning to go shopping. it's quite far from the nearest mtr station & tram, so you need to ride the taxi most of the time. good thing there are a few decent places to eat around the hotel. the hotel room and price are okay.

i travel to hong kong every now and then and i have stayed at other hotels previously. the hotel itself is not as simple as others to walk to, have to go through bridge/over path, it wouldn't be a problem if you were take taxi. the hotel itself is clean and the staffs are very friendly. The room size is good considering the price. overall, i would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is near the exhibit area. It can be reached in just few minutes away from the exhibit area. Very convenient for exhibit participant. The room are great for short time traveler attending conferences or staying few days in Hongkong. From the hotel, you can go around hongkong via train in few minutes walk. The hotel provides shuttle to the airport for a minimal fee. The hotel is great for attending exhibits.
Shopping Tip:
Very accessible to exhibit area and some beautiful places nearby. From the hotel, you can take trains to visit shopping malls.

Great room - relatively large, clean, DRY, nice bathroom, good shower.

I would stay at this hotel again - good price, nice room, great location. Much better than some supposedly nicer hotels I have stayed in nearby that had terrible damp smells in the room.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a fantastic vegetarian restaurant nearby called Vegetarian Palace at Shop B, 1st Floor, Ming Fung Building, 140 Wan Chai Road. It is a private dining restaurant meaning you need a reservation and you just take the set menu of the day, no choice!

Harbourview perfectly located in the heart of Wan Chai, close to the MTR station and pacific place.Staff are friendly, the room is clean and convenience, but the bath room abit small. The price of my stay is reasonable and close walking distant from MTR station. However, Internet such charge still acceptable. In general, I would say, i would come back to stay again, but hope so the room rate are not increase very big.
Shopping Tip:
If you would like to enjoy shopping, I think Causeway bay is much better then here.
