The room with a view

This is the second hotel I stayed in during my stay in Hong Kong. I chose this hotel because I thought I would have a spectacular view of the Kowloon Harbour. Well, I did get the view but half of it was blocked by the convention center. If you would like to know.. my room was on the 15th floor.
Comfort wise, no complaints. The room, although alot smaller than the room in the hotel I was previously in, had all the amenities one would need. However, there was a minor setback, instead of having a queen size bed, they combined two single beds, with it a tiny uncomfortable gap in the middle. I guess if you tell the hotel staff they will get you a new room, but I was just too tired so I didn't bother.
One reason why I didn't like this hotel as much as the previous hotel is because of its location. It was just a tiny bit too far away from the MTR stations and food shops, about a 5-10min stroll to Wan Chai. But then again, I was kind of lazy.. who wouldn't be right? It's supposed to be a holiday!
Overall, this hotel scores slightly above average, taking into consideration value for money, room size, hotel condition, etc. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who's going to Hong Kong in the near future.

This is a normally cheap hotel and if you are on a tight budget there are probably better places to stay. Its a good choice if you are going to the Exhibition center as it is just a short walk away. I really so no other reason to stay in this location as it is not for the hotel.
I would much rather spend a little more and have a hotel that I am satisfied with.

Habourview hotel is one of best hotel where i lived. the place is very nearby Ferry pier and mtr station. and so silent at night. the services is high standard. i like this place so much.

I stayed at The Harbourview for 3D2N over a weekend. Booking made via Agoda allowed me to leave both my companion's name and mine. As we are travelling into Hong Kong at different time of the day, this brought us a lot of conveniece because my companion can check in despite the fact that booking has been made through my credit card. The room is considered of reasonable size compared to many other hotels in Hong Kong. We have two cabin-sized luggages and after putting them beside the wardrobe, we still have ample room to walk about. Frequent travellers to HK will know this is very much appreciated since we don't have to hop over our luggages to get to our beds. A very pleasant,clean and well organised room. The bathroom is very small but their choice of shower head washed away all my tiredness thus making up for the toilet's size. Other reviews mentioned it takes only 5 mins to walk to the ferry terminal but I personally think it is more than that, slightly less than 15 mins and and mtr is also quite far away. But an alternative will be to take the bus right outside the hotel to Central MTR. If only the hotel have shuttle services to the ferry terminal and the nearest MTR. But all in all, this is a hotel worth staying.

very central location, opposite Grand Hyatt and Convention and ferries over to Kowloon. very easy to pick up taxis straight outside or to use central walkway to Wan Hei metro station
good view over harbour (but better the higher the room number as low numbers have view west a bit obscured.
helpfulover luggage eg when we were away 24 hours
frinndly helpful staff, clean modern rooms with good lighting and desk/chairs to work at.

the Harbour View Hotel proved a good choice for me on my first visit to Hong Kong and travelling alone. it was easy to get to and very centrally placed - I took the airport bus (A11 is the one for those with luggage) and got out at Wan Hei metro, went up the pedestrian walk way and walked through to Central Plaza, going down to street level before crossing over to the Convention Centre; go west past fire station and the hotel is just before the over pass. if taking a taxi they all know the Grand Hyatt opposite or the Convention centre.
i thought it well worth paying the slight extra for the harbour view; the rooms with hihger numbers eg 12/14 have more nearly 180 degree views over the harbour whereas those with loweer numbers are partially blocked (ie to 90 degrees by the adjacentbuilding.
staff very helpful. good filling breakfast though not cheap (88 HK dollars).
only real drawback was the price of the internet and the inability to pay for part units of time.

We would always want to stay here as long as there is a harbour view. It makes such a difference to have genuinely friendly staff. It is convenient and has everything you could wish for, with the exception of tea and coffee available in the room, although a kettle and two cups were provided.

The location was not as convenient as I had imagined and got lost while looking for the hotel.. I ended up arriving very late, but the staff kindly upgraded my room which totally changed my first (rather negative) impression towards the hotel. Enjoyed the harbour view. Plenty of places to eat around.
