This hotel is your average 3 star Hong Kong hotel. It is clean and the staff are friendly. Great location if you're planning to visit the convention center. The MRT is about 5-10 minutes walk involving stairs (you have to cross an expressway). View from the 'cityview' room was of the back wall of the neighboring building. Good access to the HK airport express station (less than 5 minutes by taxi).

Very good value for a clean no frills stay in Hong Kong Island,close to the Central District with all the offices and company HQ,s.
Also near to Wanchai with night entertainment and directly opposite to the HK convention and exhibition centre.
The stay was enjoyable but customers should be aware that the hotel charges heavily for local calls,which are normally free,and International call rates are huge. Do not pick up the phone to call out, unless it is an emergency.

Good mid-range hotel
Affordable. Close to Convention Centre. Clean rooms with good views on Harbour side. Friendly and efficient staff. Close to ferry and taxis.

I stayed 5 nights at this mid-range hotel in the Wanchai district on Hong Kong Island. The staff were great. The room was an adequate size with most amenities. A great place to be based for a short visit on business or otherwise.

The harbour view hotel is close to the centre of wanchai and all the night life it has to offer, but its far enough away to feel more chilled out. The views of the harbour are only a stones throw away. It is pretty much central to get to all places of interest quickly. The hotel its self has a modern feel to it. My room was very big for a hong kong hotel room. The only let down was tht the bathroom was pretty small. There was a saftey depsoit box and lots of room for clothes and bags which is alwasy a good thing. The staff were very nice and helpful. Free tea coffe juice and water were put in the room every day. Something that isn't done in some hotels I have stayed in. The only big down side is that I was led to believe there wasa gym, however there wasn't.
Nightlife Tip:
The dog house bar in wanchai. Great staff and cheap drinks during happy hour 4 till 9

I like the friendly concerned staff who went out of their way to be helpful. I cut myself and they gave me some first aid service.
The location in Wan Chai was also a positive. You could walk to find many interesting venues offering evening entertainment
The room was very good with the excellent view of HK harbour.
Nightlife Tip:
Watch out for the ladies of the evening if that's not your thing.

The Harvourview Hotel is conveniently located in Wanchai, which is central to most attactions. However, the nearest MTR station is a few blocks away through elevated corridors. The room was clean and comfortable, and although it was not small it appeared to be bigger in photos. Internet was not included in the price, and the business center tariff was expensive. 24-hour in room dining was available and restaurant closes at 11pm which is convenient. No nice restaurants are available round-the-corner.

The total are fine. Just a little far from MTR. Service are nice and room looks clean. However if you would like to have a harbour view. You'd book a high rise and suit only. We got a room but no view at all which it's fine.

We arrived at this hotel after a very long flight from Los Angeles. The hotel staff let us move into our room in the morning at ten instead of waiting for afternoon check-in. This was much appreciated.Everyone at the hotel was friendly and very helpful. The hotel although not centrally located was close to one of the ferries that went to Kowloon, and really only a metro stop away from central.
