Great view to Kowloon

we booked a harbor view room and were not disappointed by the view we had. the room was quite big by hong kong standards.
not providing wifi for free is a bit disappointing and not up to today's standards anymore.
the location is great for wanchai shopping and the wanchai star ferry pier is only a short walk to go to kowloon and have a view of hong kong island.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you take the Airport Express go to the free shuttle service and take shuttle H2 to the Exhibition & Convention Center. From there it is a short walk to the hotel.

The best kept secret in Hong Kong

Small rooms of course, but it's Hong Kong after all. Can't beat the harbourview side, wonderful views of Kowloon. Breakfast is good but a bit pricey; as an alternative try the Chinese western breakfasts with milky tea at a variety of small local eateries that dot the landscape near the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take the double-decker bus #18 in front of the hotel, it will whisk you to Central district in about 5 min. Use the HK Octopus card for swift boarding.

The Harbour View is located near the Hong Kong Exhibition & Convention Centre. The hotel was opened in 1985 but extensively updated. Bedrooms are compact with rather small beds and bathrooms (tiny bathtubs only 4ft long), but with modern facilities. There are two free Internet desks in the reception area but room Wi-Fi is very costly (hour) and poor quality regularly loosing connection. For this reason the hotel is not recommended for business people who rely on good Internet facilities. Note that there’s another Harbour View Hotel (5 star Radisson) only 100 metres away, which can cause confusion with taxis.
Restaurant Tip:
Hong Kong Art Centre located next to the hotel. This has an excellent Italian Bistro on the 6th floor.

The location is good. Polite staff. But the cleanliness was not good because I found hair on the bed and in the bathroom. There was something wrong with the sound proof - it was too bad to be disturbed by the sound of shower, door closing and people talking pass by the room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is very close to HKCEC, ten minutes walk from MTR Wanchai station.

Nice hotel at a nice location

Very clean and modern hotel entrance. Rooms are nice but a bit small... but all HK hotels are small.
The last time they gave me a room with the view of the harbour but this time it was of the back of some other building which was not very pleasant. Besides that everything was good.

Though it is in city business area but the hotel is located in a quiet place with 10 minutes walking distance to MTR.
The hotel was renovated recently and overall facilities are quite new and staying there was comfortables.
It is better than other 3-starts hotel in HK and the price really reflects its value.

My stay in the Harbourview Hotel was so good, I would book there when I travel to Hongkong again! It's proximity to the Convention Center was the best feature, walking distance! Practically to many places to eat and shop, or to merely stroll and enjoy the wonderful weather. The environment is clean, the food is very delicious. The hotel staff gave immediate attention to my requests! I love Harbourview Hotel!
