The Kowloon Hotel is in Tim Sha Tsui which is the prime location for Kowloon. Here you can find shops of every type. Restaurants are everywhere and food is great in Hong Kong. It is very easy to get around, either by MTR,BUS or City Bus transport. Taxis are everywhere so you can get with ease. The ferry service to MACAU is within walking distance.
Restaurant Tip:
Eat outside the hotel, food is good and cheap

I really enjoyed my stay in Kawloon hotel because it was surrounded with many beautiful places and the MRT is just beside the hotel. I enjoyed the night walk in Tsim Tsa Tsui. Furthermore the room made me so confortable to sleep.

I am happy with the stay with Kowloon Hotel. The location is fantastic, near to MTR station, many earteries close by as well which makes it very convenient to move around. Staffs are helpful and polite. We requested for late check out and we were granted without any question asked. I will come back to Kowloon hotel again.

Lot of bargain shops nearby.

Hotel is centrally located behind the Peninsula Hotel on Kowloon side, very handy for business travel to easily get around to visit customers. Loads of restaurants and shops close by with the Star Ferry within 2 minutes walk to get across to Hong Kong Island if needed.
Small rooms, but adequate with good facilities and well maintained.
Travel tip:
Free WiFi available downstairs in Starbucks cafe beside the hotel.

Kowloon hotel is located in fantastic and convenience location right in the middle of the city.
Directly connected to the MTR Tsimshatsui, and MTR East Tsimshatsui Stations, and only a short ferry ride away to Hong Kong Island. Its great location and a very short distance to streets shops and famous major shopping centre Ocean terminal make it an attractive destination for a visitor.
The hotel itself quiet old looking. The international buffet offered was very average, and was i expected better. For extra charge I was up graded to a better room with a view, and was able to use the business club as a result, which is essential for any one that intends to do business in Hong Kong.
The service was ok, but very accommodating in the business club. The room I stayed was very small, and as a result the facilities in the room were restricted, such as small cupboard, TV, and bathroom.
Shopping Tip:
There are many shops near the hotels, especially electronics. I can only suggest to any one that intend to buy any camera, etc, need to shop around, or at least go to major shopping centre to major store to get an idea of or prices to compare before buying

an expensive hotel but worth for location
the only good reason to stay here was the location and the shopping mall in the basement.

the hotel is basically good only for the location, it is a 5 min walk to the MTR station although the airport express bus comes up to the next block only.the view from the hotel room is quite good with huge windows facing the streets.the rooms are small and i feel crampedup so may be you need to go in for anything above standard specially if 2 people are going to share.
Shopping Tip:
as it is locaed on tsim sha tsui so the biggest attraction is shopping.you will get any of the world famous brand on this street be it clothes,watches,electronics.also you will get the best foreign exchange rate in hk at the chung king mansion.

it's in da shopping centre! the famous brands r just around the corner! if u stay here, u dont have to go anywhere for shopping! and the MTR is so closed to the hotel just a few sec! however,the room is so small!, but i quite understand coz it's in Hong Kong. Moreover, i think da room service system is not good coz hotel's mades always knocked the door in early morning and it's so annoying!,,,anyway, i've a great time here!

Kowloon Hotel has the best location with the rate they charge. It is next to the most prestigious hotel, Peninsula, in town. It is next to the subway, shopping areas and resturants. It is also a stone's throw to the landmark in HK, etc, Cultural Centre, 1881 Heritage, Space Theatre, former Star Ferry, etc. It is very easy for a tourist to access everything.
Unfortunately, the construction work in front of the hotel doesn't seem to have stopped. I stayed there in March 2009 when the construction work was underway. This time, after more than half a year, construction work is still underway and it is kind of difficult to walk around the construction site.

The bus from the airport stops very close to the hotel, unfortunatly there are road works going on in front of the hotel which made it difficult to see,a sign would have helped I found it by walking around the block and having to walk behind the road works barrier to get through I found myself at the enterance to the lobby by chance.Staff were fine check in and out were quick as I was the only one at the time.Rooms were clean but very small I wouldnt want to share one but as I was only there for the night on my way to china it was fine.would I stay again? Yes on my own for a stop over but maybe not for a family holiday. didnt eat at hotel as arrived late and left early.
