I am a business traveller who had my wife and small child join me after a few days. Initally I thought the Hotel was not so suited to business travel however was plesantly surprised after a few days. It doesnt have a business centre or anwhere to have meetings or food (except for breakfasts) however the location, cost, standard of the rooms and the excellent service made up for it. My wife joined me with my small child as a tourist and they were very happy with the location (Hong Kong central is not an easy place when you have a small child in a push chair). Its not the conrad or the Marriott (where I usually stay for Business) but would recomend it and will stay there again.

the hotel is in a popular area with day shops. close to the subway station but do not expect much entertainment around at night. no restaurant or bar. you will have to take a cab and go to more lively areas.
rooms are clean and you could feel there was some effort made in the interior design but do not expect a "real" boutique hotel.

Great Location and freindly staff

I popped in and out of the hotel a couple of times throughout my day because it was in such a good location that I could. You can easily find a taxi outside. The room is spot on has everything you possibly need and I did not need to call for any extras at all as it was already all there. A little bit pricey though.

Nice hotel--location not wonderful

We had difficulty getting there. We were told there was a shuttle bus from airport express--no information given to us. Wasted half an hour waiting and finally caught a cab. Excruciating traffic--a bit stressed when we arrived. our stay was very good. Rooms lovely, staff helpful when approached, breakfast more that adequate.
Not located in a very nice part of Hong Kong.

i've stayed here twice, once in a one bedroom suite and once in a single bedroom. both rooms made good use of the space thanks to clever design.
breakfast is included and the buffet has plenty of western options.
short walk to sheung wan subway. a couple of good lunch options in the same street. walking distance to hollywood road with all its restaurants for dinner. free shuttle to hong kong railway station where you get on or off the airport express.
reception staff more efficient than welcoming.
Hotel Feature Tip:
When you arrive by plane, take the airport express to Hong Kong station then walk downstairs to the hotel shuttles. The Mercer shares one with several other hotels so you might have to look at the shuttles in the carpark to find it. Check the schedule, the day I left the last one was fairly early at 6.40pm. It's quite handy to use throughout your stay, not just to and from the airport express.

Second time we stayed at this hotel, as we were pleased with previous stay. Location is great coming with the ferry from mainland China as we do, and also access to restaurants, bars and shoppinga areas. This isa boutique hotel, with justa fw rooms on each floor and a small, but adequate lobby. Breakfast is quite OK, and there is even a decent gym available. The pook exists, but is very small, not much for swimming...
Nightlife Tip:
Try La Piola Wine bar on Lyndhurst Terrace, 5-10 min walk

Though it is bit expensive for us to live, we really love this hotel. Like a condo, we can make it like our home. The only disadvantage is that it is expensive, I hope we can get any promotion in the future.
Hotel Feature Tip:
There is a gym in the hotel, good place for us to loss our weight!

Excellent Location and great deco

stayed here on our wedding night and got upgraded to a suite. think the location is perfect, situated in a slightly quieter street yet is only minutes from the mtr station. i walked to the shopping centre ifc and it only took 15 minutes! would recommend friends to stay here if they can get a good deal on agoda.
