Amazing little gem on the fringe of soho

I loved this hotel and will try to stay there as often as I can when I am in Hong Kong. It is mid priced and for the business traveler is perfect for settling in to both relax and work. It even has it's own kitchen should you really want to cook for yourself. Though why you would want to with so many amazing restaurants so close by is beyond me!
My favorite new addition is the little nespresso machines... brilliant.

great location but could be rather noisy at night

service is good as usual. this is my second stay with mercer. for this trip i have to stay at lower floor and the weekend night, not too sure if it's due to the football match season, it's very noisy nearby (there is some pubs across the street). the hotel is very new and consider big for hong kong. there is few eating place near by but for shopping u have to walk towards central or IFC. i hope they can have better spread for breakfast. it's kinna boring after eating there for 7 days. in general, i will still want to stay in this hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip:
they have a outdoor pool and a gym. upgrade to their suite and u get free nespresso coffee machine. :)

Lovely, and although small (great service) hotel, everything is available. The staff is friendly and very willing to help. Had trouble getting the room to warm up a bit, and they brought me a small space heater. When I left, I Inadvertently left a couple of items behind, and the cleaning staff turned them in, and with great efficiency the items were returned to me in the mail.

This is a great hotel to stay in HK if you can afford it. It has a great location next to Mercer street and Sheung Wan MTR Station, and you can enjoy the night life around it.

The Mercer is a nice boutique hotel located in Sheung Wan. Its a little tricky to find at first, and you will have to figure out your bearings until you realize how conveniently located this is. The hotel is a couple minutes away from the MTR and a Starbucks is very close by. The room is superb, except for a rather unpleasant smell that sorted itself out after the first couple hours of turning on the fans on max. All the amenities, including flat screen tv, bed, ironing board, closet, washroom are great. The only issue I have with this hotel is common with most modern decors, in that the washrooms are not private at all (no locks, transparent/translucent doors, etc).

Worst experience ever - ruined my impression of hk

This is definitely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
I stayed in this hotel for a total of seven days. Upon check in, I was offered an upgrade at the cost of HKD 500 per fight. When I rejected, I was offered a free upgrade anyway.
In one of those nights, the toilet bowl started leaking and they could not fix it. I have yellowish water oozing out in my bathroom which was utterly disgusting. When I complained to the management, they only apologized and refused to compensate me. Neither did they offer a room switch. I had to tolerate a stinky bathroom.
The location of the hotel was horrible. Often the cab drivers did not know where this hotel was. There was a weird stench whenever I walked out of the hotel to get a cab.
Not only would I never step foot in this hotel, I would stay out from all hotels within the same hotel chain.
