very good location in kowloon, clean hote,l nice concierge

The bed was so hard! rock hard! and not good after a 12 hour flight. I always woke up sore and the pillows were not good either. They over charged us on our credit card from mini bar which I just noticed on my cc statement, nothing I can do about that now we're in Australia but that's annoying because I purposely didn't drink the extremely expensive water which was aud$8 per bottle and that was the over charge amount. My husband commented that they are always bothering us, calling, phone messages and always housekeeping knocking asking when can they clean. We are on holidays we like to sleep in and if we miss out on a clean we except that but they kept bothering us. However this hotel was in the best location and perhaps the other room types may have better beds. Satay Inn had yum food and quite cheap and very good service. Concierge had good service but reception not so much.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Hong Kong island is full of English pubs and expats in suit and more expensive for food and drinks. I absolutely prefer Kowloon because it's very china! and can find cheap food. Night markets are really good and I have been to many in many places. I like to buy cute things and they were cheap there. Perhaps I was a little excited there because I had a couple of cheaper beers with dinner but I loved those markets. There is a public toilet in a big few storey block about halfway down the markets down a street on the right.

very strategic locations for shopping and trip to Macau

Rooms are small though clean. I love the white beddings. Staff are courteous and warm.

Reasonable standard hotel

easy access by road to new highway

Not a good hotel for business stay. Rooms too small and hotel is too crowded with tourists. Lifts are terrrible and waiting time for lifts is far too long. Many other good/better hotels in Kowloon for this price level

We are a regular at this hotel because of its convenience when I am coming from China. Plenty of shops surrounding the hotel.

The Royal Pacific Hotel and Towers is a great choice for travelers who are on the go and therefore who would need a place to rest. It is just within the ferry terminal going to Macau so I suggest a night here would be helpful if traveling back and forth. Me and my friend were upgraded to a superior room and I forgot to ask why but we gladly accepted for sure. Breakfast was not included but it's cool since there are unlimited choices of different food just about anywhere in the area. I stayed there for 2 nights and the other 2 at The Gateway Hotel and since they are just beside each other, there was no hassle transferring at all.

room conditions are big

free welcome fruits were good

Hotel is renovating, so higher rooms are new, but lower floors are not. I spent first night on 12th floor which was not renovated yet. The room was dirty and dark, but most of all cold. On the wall was a switch to turn on heater or cooler, but cooler only worked. The second day they changed to a higher level with a renovated room. Evey thing was perfact.
Hotel Feature Tip: If the room is too cold, call the operator, and they will let a small heater in your room.

good location!

location, satay inn has nice food

good location but the bed is hard, concierge helpful, housekeeping annoying! 2nd time back from macau and it was the same as first time however it really is a good spot especially if going to macau.
Shopping Tip: I bought the cutest Adidas originals shoes that I could not have got from Australia which is a huge store right near the hotel. I really wanted to buy a cheaper camera from the many small camera shops but decided I didn't want to take the chance of being ripped off eg. copy camera or 2nd hand or damaged. Concierge advised not to buy there so we bought one from fortress for almost the same as Australia price but got an extra battery and memory card case etc. so ok deal but those other shops are tempting because their rices are very low. The other shop's cameras say made in indonesia but the fortress one's say nothing??? and they couldn't give me a definate answer but think malaysia designed in japan. I still wonder if I had've got ripped off purchasing a camera from those smaller shops. very tempting and kinda fun. Also the night markets are gooooood!
