The best thing about this hotel is that it is located right on top of the ferry terminal going to macau or china. Aside from that, it is also right beside the harbor city shopping complex! this is also close to the MTR station. The only thing is, the room needs a little updating and renovation. But other than that, its all good.

A weak Royal Pacific experience
I liked the convenience of being close to so much shopping and transportation was relatively convenient compared to other big cities.

I really had planned on enjoying my stay at Royal Pacific. However, the hotel staff were not quite discerning enough to be as helpful as I would have liked to see. Directions to places of interest were wrong on two occassions and the staff were late cleaning the room making our restful afternoon into a draining experience. I could recommend this hotel for the off season guest who really enjoys a bargain near the star shopping street and harbor, but it would be a stretch to say that the hotel wouldbe my first recommended choice for consumers with refined taste. Thanks again for the stay, but then again it was a weak stay.

Royal Pacific over Chinese New Year
The best thing about the hotel was it's location. It's situated in TST which is a hub of activity. Rooms are clean. Next door is the China Ferry terminal which comes in very handy to travelers to China and Macau.

Check in and check out could have gone smoother if they had designated areas for check in and out. Checking out is much quicker but you had to stand in the same lines as checking in so the process took too long. Rooms are much smaller than they appear in the pictures. All laundries were closed for Chinese New Year so we had to get it done from the hotel and their prices were way too high. It cost us $100 U.S. Restaurants in the area and shopping is great. The CNY parade was right on Canton Road and the fireworks down the street at the pier so the hotel was in the perfect area for attending both of those. You couldn't see either from our room but you just have to walk about 1/2 mile to see them.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Just up the street at the Harborside Pier is a laser light show every night at 8:00 p.m. Don't miss it.

This is about 4th time we have stayed at Royal Pacific we were disappointed that although we had booked premier room as we normally do it was much smaller than on previous visits. Bathrobes were missing had to ask for them, lifts took forever to reach the floor. The staff were helpful and courteous which is always the case with this hotel. Good stay apart from room, love the location so convienient.

A nice stay and an overall good booking experience. I booked in the morning, got confirmation by email and just dropped in at the reception in the afternoon, same day.
Room was nice: large bed, fully furnished bathroom, nice colors. Satisfactory breakfast
Travel tip:
Print the chinese name and address of the hotel before arriving in shenzhen: most taxi drivers can't understand or read English.
If you come from HK, avoid the taxi touts lurking at the custom's exit: they speak English, but ask 600 RMB for a ride that you'll pay about 30RMB if using a public taxi.

My family had a grand time in Royal Pacific hotel last chinese new year. We had around 5 hk trips in less than 2 years but this was the best hotel we stayed in. Very near to Harbor City which is our favorite place, and where watched the fireworks display and parade. The room is big with walk-in closet and tub. extra bottled water are delivered in a swift. WE will definetly come back and tell friends about royal. thanks agoda.
Restaurant Tip:
there's a great restaurant nearby, the taiwanese house beside sasa, food was great.
