I say a nice stay,we sleep well although the room is two single bed itis quite enough for two adults with two children,nice room and not too expensive,only walking distance to local restaurants,shopping mall and MRT station,very easy to check in and check out,fast room service and the staff is very friendly,for me when i go back to HongKong i will choose again vela hotel for stay

The location and the cost were the major elements for me to select this hotel. Compare with other hotels in this area, the room in Vela is quite big and spacious. However noise is the major issue if I won't come back to this hotel.

Got an upgrade to a room with balconies

Pretty good. The hotel is pretty good and we got a free upgrade. The only complain is too many Mainland China tourist staying in the hotel, but I guess it's a common problem in any HK hotel.

Stayed at the hotel for more than 2 weeks. It was an excellent stay. The staffs are helpful. Love the little snacks received everyday. Refill amenities daily.
WC was a little small but can't complain for a boutique style hotel.
Great price for the 4 Stars quality. Unexpected large room. Lots of room for the 2 years old to move around.

Newly renovated, clean room

the hotel is newly renovated so it is clean. our room view is the horse race course so very beautiful for sight seeing. location is good just 5mins away from causeway bay mtr. also very near to times square & other shopping malls . f u love to shop til u drop & looking for a cheap place to stay, would recommend this hotel.

it is not convenient to travel by metro from this hotel, but taxi is cheap and the taxi stop is right at the back door of the hotel. to get to the ocean park and 30 to the peak or the pierr. there is also the dingding

The Service so Slow and Room so small

Unsatisfactory with this hotel. I know some opinion about small room hotel in Hongkong.
That's why I choose FAMILY room in AGODA website. And I saw the picture of room in the vela hotel that's for family room quite big for family with twin double bed.
But in fact when I arrived there the service so slow,and when I remind them to get family room they said "the value of family room just a few"
And I ask them to saw on voucher from AGODA the type of room is family room. And the girl who talked with me speak with her friend with Chinese language..
I guess she will give me family room,but in fact when I got the key I saw the room so small and totally different even the bathroom with "family room" I saw on AGODA website. So I saw on the back door for emergency fire exit,it was like picture of different room with small size and that's true I got small room,cos family room I guess in the next door.
And for the bed so hard,not comfortable at all.
I payed for family room but I got standart room,so sad.
This is my opinion ,sorry but this is the truth.
Shopping Tip:
The location quite good cos near with the centre of shopping place.

location is good within walking distance (approx 5 mins) walk to time square at causeway bay. we travel with 2 kids aged 5 & 7 and we were being given a room with 2 double beds and it was good enough to fit our whole family of 4. service from the hotel is average but then what you pay is what you get (we stayed for 13 nite and paid approx aud $ per nite on average).
Hotel Feature Tip:
ask for higher floor with possible free upgrade (room size) plus ask for view facing the Happy Valley racecoarse.
