Great location

Great location on Lockhart rd in the centre of bustling Wanchai. Staff were friendly. Rooms were quite small but have stayed in much smaller in HKG. Room and bathroom very clean. Service attentive.

Close to showground
The hotel is good and very close to the Showground, which makes it very convenient

i stayed in the hotel to evaluate it for the coming hong kong shows, although it is in a street of pubs or strip clubs (which may be good for some people but a bit of a put off for us), it is really close to the wanchai showground and in very good walking distance.

Overall small but nice. The streets around may look red light district but perfectly safe. Wanchai MTR nearby is a great point coupled with many small affordable local eateries. Dont expect grandeur or high class but there isn't much to complain about this hotel at its relative cheap price.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The Private Bus stops very near this hotel enroute to the Shenzhen border. Great location for travelers who intend to travel to Shenzhen by land.

Restaurant Tip:
Eat the local food. It's cheap and a nice experience.

Not So Much....

small rooms, everything showing its age, slow ancient elevators, hard beds, pay-for wifi in rooms and way over priced are my impressions of the wharney guang dong hotel.
on the plus side, it is located near the wan chai mtr station and it is in the middle of the "entertainment" venues offered in wan chai. i believe that the nearby empire hotel is a better value in this area of hong kong.

the hotel is closed to mtr station and the area is very convenience. can get the food almost anytime in that area. close to the shopping area too.
but as the hotel is very close to the bars, it's a bit noisy at night time
