To enjoy Wan Chai, its the best location.

I have stayed at the Wharney before and was pleased to receive an upgrade into a room with an adjoining living space. That said, the bed was quite hard and the couch was equally solid. Staff are continuously slow and borderline competent.
Nightlife Tip:
Wan Chai, often considered a seedy district is now very much a lively area, particularly for those into the "pub culture" rather than the LKF bar scene.

rooms are small but very well equipped. everything worked. good desk.
choice of pillows, but all were a bit too hard for me.
exec room includes free laundry of one shirt per day - good.
free b'fast was ok as long as you like cereals or toast and similar. many good bars that serve western b'fasts nearby.
check in/out very efficient.
very easy to grab taxis outside door.
easy walk along elevated pedestrian way to convention centre.
try to get a room on back side of hotel - lockhart road bars are very noisy at night till very late - especially during the rugby sevens week!
Restaurant Tip:
Outback steak house just across the street for a quick easy meal.

Stayed here for a few nights (two rooms plus a rollout bed) and have no complaints. Rooms could be newer, but not as bad as expected for the money. Everything is a cab ride away, easy transportation, near the dodgy bar strip in Wanchai.

This is one of the few small hotel in the heart of Wanchai. very good for business traveller who wants to be near to the Expo, MTR and food outlet. compared to others in the area, this hotel has room service and dry cleaning. if you are looking to destress, you can just walk across the street for some happy hour.
MTR and the Expo are all walking distance. less than 5 mins.
Nightlife Tip:
there are just too many outlets to mention. the best is for you to check out the night life. mostly are clubs that operates like Singapore's Orchard Towers.

the location's great and convenient. a wide variety of eateries can be found around the hotel. walking distance to train station. service's good and efficient. but it's very clean. the mattres was a nightmare. it's hard as rock and we suffered from lack of quality sleep as a result.

we reached the hotel late around 10.00pm, lucky for me that i realised there is a free bus from airport express hong kong station direct to this hotel. the location is very near to the wan chai mrt station. there are a lot of restaurant too. it's pub street if you like to have a drink at night.

I have stayed there before, its a good location for Wan Chai nightlife. I stayed in Exec room, but small.... was clean and had everything i needed for one night stay.
When i am in HK i would be happy to stay there again
