great location but hard beds!
the best thing about the hotel is its location,near the mtr and wanchai nightlife!

i have stayed at wharney many times as i find it the most convenient location for my business and after hours drinking!This trip was fine however the check in staff said that my room wasnt ready at 2pm and would have to wait ..i asked how long and they said "some time after 4pm".i didnt find it acceptable and said so and miraculously thay found a room for me that minute!best to book early to get the best deals as it can be very good value for money.
Nightlife Tip:
just go out the door and walk in any direction.You will not be able to miss it!

I was there for a convention, and the location of the hotel is only a 10 min walk, so it was very convenient. It is also close to a MTR station, so getting around is also not a problem. But the area gets pretty rowdy at night as there are many bars around the area and we get solicited pretty much anytime we walked by these hostess bars. The hotel itself is just ok. The room is a little old and the bed was a little hard. Definitely won't mistake that for a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Great for shopping, dinning or business. Just a short, cab ride to anywhere on Hong Kong Island. It is our preferred place to stay

Great location for trade shows at the HK Exhibition center and also the MTR

This was the first time I stayed at the Wharney and found it to be pleasant. It is very close to the HK Exhibition center for trade shows and also the MTR to access the rest of HK. Can be a bit noisy due to the proximity to the local discos. Room rate was very expensive but so were all hotels because of the trade shows in October.
Restaurant Tip:
Very cheap and good food with live entertainment at the CinqJ restaurant behind the Wharney.

The hotel room was clean and security was good. I managed to get a non-smoking room and the beds were comfortable. It was very convenient for food as there were many eateries around the corner. It was only 5 minutes walk from the MTR station. The conceirge was helpful suggesting the public bus to take to the island attractions.

Good central location
Location to Expo Centre and competitive pricing

We were attending an expo at the expo centre and the location of this hotel was very convenient. The originial pricing was very competitive and good value for money but unfortunately as there was an expo on and lots of people around the room rates per day went up nearly 300%. I had originally only booked for 2 nights then wanted to stay longer (up to 8 nights) but the rates hiked up too much and were then not competitive. The location was good and although the rooms were not large they were more than adequate. Good distance to the MTR and walking distance to central and Causeway Bay. Would stay again.

all ok but small hard beds, in a great position for nightlife, public transport and local shopping and food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The tv was limited in choice as mainly local channels with no cable.
