The hotel is centrally located and most convenient for dining out and for night life. Room size is not very big, but enough. The a/c was very good and had a wonderful sleep after hard days of business meetings.

This hotel is very comfortable and i guess is quite worth staying. The MRT station is just 5 min walking distance. There are many night clubs and pubs along the road nearby the hotel. Watching FIFA world cup with so many foreigner was one of the unforgettable experience. Staying at here is very convenient too. 7-11 and mini markets are all around.
Restaurant Tip:
The only bad experience is my friends and i tried the 'dai ka lok' restaurant nearby, and it sucks

good size rooms, clean rooms, good internet, close to MTR

enjoyed my stay there again. It is conveniently located and close to good coffee shops and laundry about 3 blocks away. Easy walk to MTR or great walk down Jaffe street with all the restaurants. Post Office very near by as are other hotels and clubs.

As long as you can get this hotel, it is a great value. The location in Wanchai is great and was appreciated after an evening of watching the World Cup with friends. I highly recommend giving it a try when in the area.
The negatives, are the rooms are a little small, and there is still my personal issues with the internet costs. The staff performance has upgraded in the last year or so.
I will continue to stay here as long as the price is right.
Restaurant Tip:
Make sure to try the pub in the basement for a great Scottish fare and cold beer!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Wharney. Both visits were good and without any problems. the Concierge was very courteous and helpful.
The location is great in that there is a MTR( subway station) stop a short walk from the hotel entrance. Next stop down the line is causeway bay which gives you access to all kinds of shopping, Sogo Department store, many shops that have clothes and shoes at very reasonable prices( mostly for women ) Times square is also nearby that has all kinds of upscale designer stores.
This is definitely a Hong Kong Bargain if you don't need the Grandiose features of a Hyatt or a Marriott.
Short Taxi rides to the big hotels like Grand Hyatt an other name restaurants like Lawry's the prime rib.
Restaurant Tip:
Try Lawry's Prime Rib in Lee Gardens for a great meal----just as good as any location in the USA.

great position in a busy bar scene, perfect for the world cup!

situated in the heart of the wan chai bar district, there's no way you'd missing grabbing a beer or two. mtr and tram stops are just minutes walk away, not to mention the buses as well. the hotel itself though is a little old and run down. perhaps time for a little catchup on the in room facilities.

I suppose the location (but since I was in transit I only stayed a few hours....)

I arrived late in the evening (9pm) and just wanted to rest but the world cup was on. It was so noisy in the room I thought the windows were open. Impossible to stay there. Absolutely no noise insulation.... I insisted in moving and was immediately changed to another quieter room (at the back of the hotel)and could sleep. Average hotel.
