My husband and I are Hong KOng residents. I booked this hotel because I knew where it was. We were taking a much needed nad previously unheard of night off from our young family to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Imagine our disappointment when we got to the hotel to find we had TWIN beds. the manager said we had not made a special request for a double, nad that twin beds were all that was available. WE did not want to spend our wedding aniversary in separate beds so we took the train home to our king sized bed. However, the hotel has a) ignored all correspondence from me so far and b) charged us full price ( over $1000) for 'late cancellation'. During the brief time we were actually in the hotel. There are far better, equally well located hotels in Hong KOng. Do not choose this one.

If you want a quick, easy hassle free stay in the thick of the action then this is for you. The rooms aren't that big so don't stay here if you're expecting the JW Marriott then moan about it. For me, it was good enough. I've stayed here several times before and will continue to do so.

Hotel is conveniently located close to MTR and local resturants. was a pity that the pool was closed for renovations. Staff were very friendly, including the concierge in organising our airport transfers. One thing that we found was that the bed/mattress was very hard as we managed to have a good nite sleep as we were exhausted from shopping.

The Wharney had excellent internal decor and are well located in the Wan Chai district, particularly for the solo traveller. The doorman was a bit pushy to get your luggage up for for you to get a tip. If you like getting your own luggage up the room, insist on holding on to your luggage while at the check-in counter.

Located in a very convenient area of wanchai close to eveything one will need in ones' travels was pleasantly surprised at the rate I got from Agoda. Upon check in everything went smooth as I had to rush to a meeting, I just dumped my bags in the room and had to chance to inspect the room.
When evening came around and I took a shower, horror of horrors the water only hit my chest had to stoop down to get my head wet; not only thatI had to lean vause it was so tight.

Hotel is nicely located in the Wanchai Biz and Entertainment area - so close to both, business and fun. However, the hotel is a bit old, and rooms are rather small - but then, that is Hong Kong. Overall a place to stay, if you don't have to spend to much time at the hotel.

The hotel loaction is convenient in terms of transportation and restaurants (also bars). There are many street shoppings but need to take transport to major shopping mall and areas.
The rooms are clean and reasonable size. Service is good.
Nightlife Tip:
There are many girlie and normal bars nearby. Suitable for party types.

I have stayed a number of times at the Wharney and what you see is what you get. Its a reasonable hotel at a reasonable price in a good location. Dont expect to be able to do acrobatic routines in your hotel room or swing the proverbail cat in your bathroom, its a typical HK hotel. Small rooms, view of apartment blocks out the window etc etc
Rooms are clean and adequate, bed comfortable and TV has Nat Geo channel which I like. Overall ist not a 5 star hotel but for pretty good pricicng and short stays for business its fine.

Very Good location, you can go subway (MTR) very easy and around the hotel you can get good food (famous) shops around there. More convenient with 24hrs convenient stores.

The hotel lobby look new and lighten. All lobby staffs can communicate with main languages. One bellboy can speak a little Thai language, it's very surprise for us, he told us because of a lot of Thais have came here.
I just comment smell (cigarette) on some areas such as lifts, corridors. It feel old and dirty.
Bathroom stuffs quite old..some shall be replaced such as towel hanger.
Restaurant Tip:
Wan tan noodle, roast goose and pork, around there having a lot of famous shops.
