right in the center of wan chai beds to hard for me, however they did up grade me to an excecutive suite on this trip at no additional cost Wharney has good location, good service and is reasonably priced. close to many bars and food outlets. minutes away from soho, central and lan kwai fong. very easy to get around from the hotel , you can take the MTR which is the underground train, taxi or even the elctris tram for onlt $2 as far as you want to go. a couple places to visit like the Peak were you can see all of hong kong fro top of the mountain, or go to stanley beach which is about 40 min bus ride from central for the beach.

excellent fitness facility, pool. close enough to public transport and even walking distance to Central or Causeway Bay. not so friendly. seedy area. Good hotel overall.

I got a great special for a recent stay here - 48USD for the night. I have stayed there before as the location is perfect for me, the rooms are a little small but they are clean and tidy.
Nightlife Tip : Its all within 5 min walk!

Good location, good service Small room, Asian type breakfast. Westerners would find it awful. Location is perfect. Close to the underground station Wan Chai, business district, shopping centres, all kind of convenience stores, restaurants of all kinds, small and big, western and Chinese. You get it all in the vicinity. At night, it is bouncing with night clubs along the street.
The service was very professional and kind. The porter who arranged us taxis was so articulate in giving directions to the taxi drivers where they have to take us to.

This was a wonderful hotel. The staff were friendly and it is located right in the middle of Wan Chai. Surprisingly though, it was not too loud at night. The rooms were very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. There is also a great swimming pool. There are a ton of restaurants by the hotel.

Excellent, Location, great value for money and friendly staff. Stayed one night in the Wharney and found staff to be very professional and efficient. The hotel was very clean and for Hong Kong the room was a decent size and well presented throughout. The hotel is in a great location for all transportantion links and very close to numerous restauarants and trendy bars. I plan to make another trip to this hotel in December.
Restaurant Tip : Numerous restaurants a few metres in any direction to suit all posckets and tastes.

Location...These guys are just plain lucky to have a great location Dirty sheets - Daily (I had pimples and rashes developing on my shoulders and back of arms, from the stay). Nothing on tv except just the news with poor reception. Staiend towels and really dirty carpeting clean sheets with antiseptic daily. Kill bed bugs with spray, fumigate the whole hotel due to roaches and mosquitos. And wash toilet seats (i wash mine when i arrived due to the stains with boiling water!)

- Close to subway station
- Close to shops, eateries, trams and other public amenities
- Just a few stops away from central train station which is connected to the whole of Hong Kong - Lobby a little congested and not enough seats for waiting This hotel is more ideal for business travellers as it's centrally located and close to pubs and entertainment areas at night. The staff were professional but cold, not very friendly to families with kids. The room is medium-sized but comfortable. For next visit, probably will not stay here again because there are so many hotels that looked better, which costs about the same.
Restaurant Tip : The restaurant selling Middle-eastern food opposite hotel serves great food. Must try!

Close to bars and nightlife in Wan Chai. Close to MTR, tram cars and Star Ferry terminal. Lifts can get a bit busy if there are a lot of Chinese tourists in the hotel. This hotel is right in the heart of the Wan Chai night life area. You can here the street life well into the night especially at the weekends. Just outside the hotel are several adult themed bars, however if you are a couple with children these bars should cause you no concern as they only hastle single males. The hotel is clean, well run and provides excellent value for money.
Nightlife Tip : Stay out of any bars with curtains. No danger, but you will come out with your wallet a lot lighter!

Clean, modern, good rooms & lighting. Breakfast for westerners not good. Poor quality juices etc. Swimming pool does not get sun direct. Overeall, a very good hotel to stay at in Hong Kong especially if you want nightlife on your doorstep. Good sports bar underneath in the Canny Man with host Kevin and very friendly staff. Right in the middle of clubland in Wanchai and fairly noisy at times. Good desk staff and concierge service, taxis easy outside the door.
Nightlife Tip : Central to all Wanchai's main nightlife - right outside the door.

Low orice. Very clean room. Great location. Walking distance to Subway train station. Plenty of restaurants around. Nearby the Entertainment clubs and bars. Lack of room amenities such as bath wardrobe. Should provide welcome bottled water. Overall, the Wharney Guangdong hotel in Wanchai, Hongkong is a good hotel. The price is very reasonable for such great location. Excellent hotel to stay for vacation purpose.
Nightlife Tip : Plenty of nightlife right on hotel surrounding area.

Decent size room, bed was firm but comfortable. I did not enjoy my stay. The bathroom was really dim and outdated, and appliances were not in the best condition. Decent lobby but hallway was dark. Unfriendly staff. Internet also cost $20HKD for 30 minutes, and neighorhood was sketchy.

The location of the Wharney is perfect for young people, close to bars, restaurants, shops and Metro in Wanchai. You can easily get to shopping districts like Causewaybay, Central, TimesSquare...We got a a nice, well-sized executive room(executive lounge with little breakfast buffet incl., but the buffet could be little more various). The only thing I disliked was the hard bed...
