Overall, a very good value for Hong Kong. The rooms are clean and Services/ ameneties are good. The surrounding area is somewhat of a mixed bag with several red-light locations, but also an Outback Steak House, Ebenezers Pizza and Kabobs, and 7-11 within the same block. We did not feel unsafe. We were here during the week and it was relatively quiet. MTR is 5 min walk and is also close to the immigration services and also China services buildings( 5-10 minute walk) if you are needing visa services.

i had a great stay in Hong Kong at the Wharney Guang Dong Hotel. Very good service and some excellent dining too, must recommend the business traveller as the hotel is within walking distance to Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre. Very reasonably priced too for a luxury hotel. My only qualm was that the hotel does not allow eating or snacking at the lobby.

I've stayed there for 3 nights and I've no complaints. The staff are friendly and the room, though it's small, is well equipped with everything that i need and very clean and tidy. The price is slightly expensive than usual but that's due to the fact that it's situated at star street. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and have no qualms to stay there again when I'm in Hong Kong.

Rooms nice and clean and where possible the staff always make an attempt to upgrade your room.

hotels should post the actual sizes (net area) and not "gross" footage that includes corridor, safety staircases, etc...as so typical in hong kong's lax real estate regulations. a couple could hardly move around in the standard rooms (all rooms are standard size except suites). unable to upgrade even if willing to pay up. my guests moved out after one night. this is at best a 3 star hotel.

very convenient for me as it is close to the convention and exhibition centre, within very easy walking distance. after work there are enough bars in the area to keep any drinker happy. the room was smoking, but no smoke could be smelt, only sometimes on the floor smoke was evident.
would stay there again.

Room is standard, clean, good bed, only english channels are 2-3 news channels, walking distance from wanchai mrt, from ferry terminal to Kowloon, smack in the middle of the pubs/bars so it was noisy at night especially since there was the Euro soccer games until 4 am and it is not the most glamourous crowd :s, airconditionning thermostat was not functionning ( as it is the case in many hotels) so it was either freezing cold (my first night), or off( my second night).
Staff was helpful, always able to advise me on transport or tourist spots to visit. Overall pretty good, will consider coming back...withtout drunk/angry soccer supporters and with the airconditioning off it would be a great deal.
there is a gym and a small pool, but didnt have the time to check it out.

Good location around Lockhart Road and quick train or taxi ride to Causeway Bay or Central. Lots of eating choices downstairs as well. That being said, there are lots of pubs and clubs downstairs which may result in some small amount of noise late at night especially on Friday or Saturday but as far as we were concerned not to the extent that affected our sleep. Rooms are small (aren't they all are in Hong Kong) but good sized for a couple. Toilet is excellent, clean and modern. Excellent value for money.
Shopping Tip:
You could walk down the road approx 15-20 mins to Causeway Bay, or just take a short cab ride.
