Great Hotel in good location
Very friendly staff, good location, clean rooms

First time staying at this hotel. Read reviews prior to booking and unsure due to mixed comments but found nothing to which I could fault this hotel. Sure the room was on the small side but no problem for a lone traveller. Room was clean and all hotel staff I came in contact with we're very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my brief stay here very much and intend booking this hotel on future visits to Hong Kong.

Comfortble hotel in centre of Wanchai - very close to bars and nightlife. Room was slightly small but normal for Hong Kong island.Breakfast room was small, in the basement, but food was good quality and a good selection of western and asian dishes.

i've stayed at the wharney many times before. i'm not sure if i would again, although its location is convenient for those wishing to partake of the delights of wanchai. although clearly renovated recently, this is an old hotel, and it smells so. definitely ask for a non-smoking room if you are a non-smoker.
Nightlife Tip:
Coyote is a fun bar, down the street, makes the best margaritas and serves the best tequila in town.

Great location, great room by HK standards

Friends stayed at Marriott (Pacific Place) so this was a short walk for us (or very cheap taxi ride), but overall a great value for Hong Kong. Beware that you are near a few dodgy bars in Wanchai but it didn't seem unsafe at night.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to IFC Mall and eat on top of the mall. You can either take your own food or order food/drinks at the nearby bar (a bit pricey). Million dollar view for pennies.

the property on the wanchai stop for the fifth time. there were other hotels, particularly in the king hotel in wanchai, but there are horrible little room. there were in the city garden hotel, but it is much farther to the east, and expensive. this excellent location, very convenient to the metro 3 minutes on foot. up to two central stop on the subway. prior to the exhibition center on foot 10 minutes. non-normal, with two children 5 years and 10 years, enough space for themselves. 22-24 m2. the main thing is that they take into account the mistakes of the past, and really made the wifi for free if regestrirueshsya through agoda. near plenty of pubs, restaurants, bars where you can really revel, if you want much, then say goodbye with a certain amount of money without a fault. go go girls you really help in this. there is a very cool bar, where they play real hard rock, the real guys from the philippines, you can purchase and hear eagles, or nazareth. title bar "amazoniya". near the hotel also has two pool bar where you can play billiards, and immediately order a meal. a cool morning to visit the gym, then swim in the pool, which runs from may to october, from monday to friday from 8 am to 13 days on weekends and holidays only opens at 10 am. breakfast is not cheap, if ordered separately is worth 95 hk $. the station will bring you to hongkong on the bus shatlbas, which passes almost the entire central hong kong, and goes round and around the people on the two routes. including up to wharney gd hotel. similarly, in reverse order, every 30 minutes you will be taken and delivered to the station of hong kong. around the network of shops "7 ellevan", the only thing that is not very good when drunk americans, australians, irish shy away down the sidewalk, and it is not possible to pass through their noisy crowd.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
All there, easy access to any part of the city, not far from a pier on Macau, Shenzhen, Kowloon, Victoria Peak, Bird Park, not far from bus station №629 that would pass on Aberdeen and the Ocean Park.

we have stayed at the wharney before and have always enjoyed our stay. staff are friendly and helpful. rooms are of a decent size for a hk hotel. the price is reasonable for a hk hotel. you are right in the middle of wan chai and have a choice of restaurants and bars. the hotel is about 300m from the subway stop and a very short cab ride to central. we will stay here again.

For this quality of hotel room in the center of Hong Kong island (wan chai) this hotel represents great value for money. I've stayed many times as a result

Hotel is located a short walk from the wan Chai MTR, service has always been good, rooms are decent, not fantastic, but clean, ok sized, comfortable. The hotel can feel a little dated, the bathrooms are a bit small and the wifi can be a pain in the ass (only one device allowed to connect) but for a short holiday or business trip in Hong Kong, it's a good option if you are on a medium range budget.

Wan chai computer city at exit A wan chai MTR is a great place to buy all kinds of electronics at cheap prices

Nice room but noise...
Good location (except for noise), pleasant room.

Even though I was on the 20th floor I was awoken a number of times in the early hours of the morning by noise from the clubs and bars outside at street level. I guess its understandable as this is Wanchai but if you need a really good night's sleep then this hotel may not be for you. Apart from that however I thought it was a good hotel and well priced.

We liked the fact that access to rooms is not via lobby, which means we can avoid the crowd and go straight to our room after full days of walking around the city. Access to subway is literally opposite the hotel.
