Great Location but small rooms. Wi-Fi not free

I was a bit upset that they wanted to charge me for wi-fi. I was told at the time of the booking that wi-fi is free. That was not the case.
Restaurant Tip:
The Outback Restaurant on the corner is a nice "western/aussie" restaurant.

It's a good hotel to stay at and is well located centrally on Hong Kong Island.
Breakfast was good, with an eastern and western selection. The room was a decent size and bathroom very satisfactory. However, rather a poor TV selection I thought.

The price is very high and the service is good , easy to reached the fare by walk, the area is always busy it’s easy to reach the metro exchange are close by the hotel as will bus stations.

the hotel is really good located: 5 min to hong kong convention and exhibition center and, direct bridge to wan chai ferry terminal, 5-7 mins to admiralty and shopping area by foot.
there are numerous great bars around the hotel, be ready to hear noise until 1 am. so, it's better to participate in this buzz then blame it
there are also a dozens of night clubs with night girls.
if you are looking for good breakfast it is a nice corner coffe shop when you go to city centre

this is the second time i have stayed here. the amenities and service are very good. it is well located for dining and shopping close by. overall good point for heading off to the areas that hk has to offer
Travel tip:
The hotel will hold your luggage in a secure location on leaving. This allows a final day free to sightsee and pick up your baggage later before leaving HK

Only a 3 star hotel at best

i have stayed at wharney in wanchai probably 30 times but even my patience is exhausted with this second rate establishment. the staff whilst executing their duties, do so with the expressions on their faces not dissimilar to that which would adorn a lodging house cat. they seem unable to smile, never greet you with a welcome back,and generally are not pleasant people. the hotel needs a furniture and fittings upgrade combined with some new staff who understand the word hospitality.
Hotel Feature Tip:
go around the corner to the gloucester luk kwok for about the same money and the same convenient location you can enjoy your stay with real hospitality and smiling service

It was a great last minute find on the internet. The location is fantastic, near night clubs and bars and restaurants. Also within walking distance to MTR stations.
Nightlife Tip:
Even though the Hotel is situated right next to a girlie bar, the women at the front door are harmless and will not bother you unless you wish to be, Walk a few meters beyond that and you will find some excellent drinking bars
