this is first time to visit hongkong.i wanted to stay at chenkin mansion.so i stayed this hostel this time.chenkin mansion has many hotel but a few lift.tokyo hostel located "d"district.other districts were always many people waiting lift,but "d"district's lift was always less people.i could go my hostel smoothly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Macau is so good! I highly recomend to all kind of tourists.
Let' go casino!!! and get money!!!

Great location but small rooms

Hotel staff are not very friendly. Hotel toiletries are not given as well. The rooms are as small as toilet cubicles. Overall, recomended for bag packers rather than couples.

this is situated at chungking mansions along nathan road. perfectly located in the middle of what seems to be one of the busiest streets in hk. everything is accessible from the hotel. a lot of great finds in all directions whether food, clothing, books, gadgets, even jewelries. a few blocks away from the star ferry and temple street. the rooms are clean and the price is just right. this building, by the way, is dominated by both indians and chinese, so you have a ton of options food-wise.

Not bad for an hostel in chungking mansion.
i think they could have done a little cheaper.
the problem i encountered is the extrem humidity in the room if i dont open the windows and the fans.
however, overal it is a good place to go for little budget.

I booked Twin room of Tokyo hostel but when came, i were taken to the Australian hostel on 14th floor. Maybe this 2 hostels are the same company. The room is tiny but well equipped with LCD, telephone, fridge, cabinet insurance... The most discomfort is the smell.
1. Smell from the blanket (but when i complained, the staff changed it, the problem was resolved)
2. Smell in the air is terrible, every when we turn-on the air-con, the room is full of food smell from the vendor. We told the staff but nothing changed. The 2 of us must sleep 5 nights without air-con, the temperature outside is over 30°C (about 90°F) haha

Hostel name," Tokyo Hostel" attracts travellers attention like
myself who taught it is run by clean Japanese owner or employees but it is not.Hostel runs by Indian family.
The room is clean and the whole place appeared to have been newly renovated,certainly which is a plus point.
Whoever choose to stay in this hostel must be prepared to encounter mixed races from Africa,India,Bangladesh,Philippines and Australians.It is still a good place because price for the room is affordable to
budget traveller like myself.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
MRT subway line is nearby.Buy A Octoplus travel card as it save time and trouble seeking for notes and coins to pay for the transport fares.

It was a first time to go to Hong Kong. I asked the waiters a lot about the interested place to go, they showed me in happy face and helped me alot. Cheap Price and Good Hotel . Near the Canthon Street, sale off a lot of Branch Fashion.

there are nice location and room was nice. i was alone and i am a woman. i was little a bit worried about my room, but it was ok. they have many different name ex.australian gest house, tokyo gest house and more. they said their office is 8f but it was different. elevatore is very small but many people always waiting. it took many times.

If you would like to relax, I would not recommend this hotel. If you just want to have a space to sleep, it is good and less expensive, considering it is located at the center of Kowloon.

although located at the chungking mansions, where you can are offered hashish, watches and variety of cell phones, tokyo hostel is a really nice place. it\'s clean (daily room-service), the staff is very helpful, they\'ve got fridge in the room and bbc on the tv.it might not be the cheapest one, but the price is considerable, and you pay for safety and cleanness. a very good option indeed.
