The hotel service and staff are very nice and helpful. The room is a bit too small. The bathroom seems out of date. Location is convenient with Seven eleven behind and mc donal across the street. Free shuttle bus to airport express is available.

Great hotel but a little out of the way

Great value hotel by HK standards. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and I didn't find them too small like some reviewers did. However I did find them abit out of the way. It was a pain to keep having to take a taxi to the nearest MTR station. There is a Tram station a few minutes walk away, but I had no clue how to use it and HK people generally aren't very helpful (could be the language barrier). Even the hotel staff couldn't tell me how to use the tram and recommended I take a taxi or book a seat on their free shuttle bus. But generally I was quite happy with this hotel and I would definitely stay here again because of the value.
Restaurant Tip:
Reasonably priced restaurants (by HK standards) are abundant in this area - including dimsum and McDonalds. Just ask the hotel staff to recommend for you.

Very clean and modern. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Easy to get a taxi. Within walking to many sites. Nice 30 min. walk to peak tram. Good bar and reasterant.

A great hotel with top accomodations, nice swimming pool.Free WIFI connection.The Breakfast Buffet is great, so is the Dinner Buffet.Local environment is easy going with local shops, restaurants..

I particularly appreciated the "Harbourview "rooms,for both the view and the confort.This is a real high level style accomodation, with WIFI,Newspapers, Tea/Coffee, Ironing..If you can grab a promotionnal price, jump on it !The Buffet breakfast is highly appreciated at the beginning of a walk intensive journey.If you are in a family trip (I was not), I guess this is an excellent choice, as the rooms are very quiet.
Restaurant Tip:
Excellent restaurants around for all possble budgets.The area is not far (20 mins walk) from Cat treet, Hollywood road for those who look for antiques/old vintage products.

This facility is very well located in a fascinating neighborhood in Hong Kong West, but easily accessible to all parts of Hong Kong. The rooms are excellent--comfortable, with good (free) WiFi, user friendly design, very clean, good and friendly staff etc.etc. The outdoor pool is functional but a bit cool for comfortable use in the early spring. The shuttle service took one to Central and other drop off points in Hong Kong which is good since figuring out the bus system in a bother.

Some really great local restaurants. Not sure of the name but perhaps the best Dim Sum I've ever had can be found at a restaurant just around the corner (turn left from the hotel, then left at the first street and its on the right--fairly large place). Also excellent food at the place on the first corner after turning left from the hotel.

Jen? Not if the price is low...

I always wanted to visit Jen Hotel because it always seemed nice and modern and then finally i got a chance to visit it for a discounted price. When i get to the hotel i understood what do i get for the low price i got - old small room, very disappointing. Another problem was that that room was twin even though i asked for a double. I asked to change but the staff insisted that they have no other rooms and i need to pay more if i want to be upgraded to a better room with a double bed. Very bad service for hotel that tries to image itself as a high class hotel. I won't come again.

The Hotel is located in the end of the west of Hongkong Island, the transportation around the hotel is not that good, Cause it have only taxi to go to the place you want to go. The front road of the Hotel is one way, so you must know the surrounding of the hotel. Anyways, It's room and interior is good, and it's quite new.

It's have some fast food around the hotel.

The Hotel Jen

The Hotel Jen is a modern and clean hotel on Hong Kong island. The rooms are well appointed if rather on the small side but not unusually small for Hong Kong. The shuttle service is a great benefit as it runs to all the main areas including the public transport and the star ferry for Kowloon. Overall the Hotel Jen is good value with the only draw back being its distance from the MRT. This looks st to change as the is construction on the extension of the nearest line to within 5 minutes of the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take the tram along Hong Kong island to get orientated. For HK$2 this is the best value sightseeing (less the commentary) you will get in Hong Kong.

Not close to the city center
Fortunately, we got a great view of the Victoria Harbour and the hotel was a solid 3-4 star. I would compare it to Sheraton.

I wanted to stay on the HK Island, but for location and price, I now realized I could have stayed on the Kowloon Peninsula near any major MTR stop. I still would have been able to do a day trip to see Aberdeen, Lamma Island and Lan Kwai Fong.
Travel tip:
Take a taxi or bus from the Sheung Wan MTR.

I didn't know what to expect when I booked. The website doesn't to justice to the place because it's so much nicer. There is a feeling of space. Everything is modern and really well planned. Most of all the price is unbeatable. I would strongly recommend it would stay here again in the future.
