i liked the way the room matched the photos,this is unusual in our experience.the room itself was functional well laid out and not at all cramped.i also liked the free breakfast which was very tasty,there was alot of it and a wide range of foods.we also enjoyed the free happy hours which were tasteful and dignified, no drunken bums to spoil it for everyone.my wife and i where very pleased with the jen and will stay here again on our next trip.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
do use the tram it is very cheap and useful the tram stop is just down the hill.

Great hotel in Hong Kong
Spacious room! Great views (harbour view), internet included, breakfast included. Nice area. Cheap cab rides to metro station

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every level. The staff was attentive and willing to help us with our every needs, from writing in little directions cards instructions in chinese for the cab drivers to provide you with maps and advice. The personnel at the bar in the 28th floor was incredibly cordial and the service was fantastic. The buffet there was very good with fruits, toast, cheeses, eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, great teas, coffee and natural juices. Happy Hour from 6 to 8PM was amazing. If you would have our kind of room, you also have access to this "event" for free every day. Drinks and great finger food for free. The hotel is very nice, nicely decorated and furnished, impressive marble floors and very clean public restrooms.
If you don't want to eat at the hotel buffet (which by the way is great!!) you have McDonalds just in the corner, KFC just less than 100 mts away, Pizza Hut 3 blocks away (by the way this Pizza Hut is a full restaurant with full menu, not just a take out pizza place. Very nice and reasonably priced) and of course the local restaurants. In the same block you have at least 3 restaurants in which you can eat duck, noodles, vegetables and soup for less than € 2.
I have to say that having to take 1 train and a taxi to get to the hotel seems to much but in reality is nothing. The taxis are in the very exit of the MTR and the cost is close to nothing, plus has the added convenience you don't have to walk from the MTR to the hotel since the cab would take you to its doorsteps. In all my stays in Hong Kong I never stayed in a hotel with so many features for so little money. Hats off to Jen Hotel !
Restaurant Tip:
Pizza Hut is just 3 block away (from the front door go right, left in the first street, then right on the first street go one block, you see it inside a shopping mall). This is a very nice surprise. We went in thinking in american pizza and found ourselves in a fine italian restaurante with full menu. We ate for less than € 20 including starter, main course and free refills!

Great service, great hotel
Attentiveness of staff (not cleaning staff) breakfast was great, lovely new rooms.

This hotel made my stay in HK so enjoyable, with all the staff speaking perfect English and always ready to help in some way. Elevators were painfully slow at times, and cleaning staff were slow to react, but the pros outweighed the cons by 10 to 1. Definitely recommend for traveling on a budget.
Travel tip:
Jump straight on the tram, not much round the hotel

Great for a layover
Well located on the Edge of Western-Central.
Great bar and very clean.

This is a very efficient hotel, well located in a quieter downtown district of HK. Taxi to Central for the airport express takes about 5 minutes. It has a good location for getting to and from HKs airport shuttle service.
Overall quite a nice hotel, if a little pricey.

Hotel Jen was located a little outside the main tourist area in Hong Kong, but the made up for that with free shuttle to the airport express train and several ferry terminals. The room was clean and quiet with the best beds we had on our 2 months trip in Asia. We became a little dismayed when we exchanged a 50 dollar bill the last day and was presented with $20 worth of Hong Kong dollars. The clerk first claimed that we had only given them a 20 bill, but soon relented and gave us the correct amount.

Hotel Jen Review
Good view of the harbour and near to all amenities in Hong Kong Breakfst very nice and the suttle bus very convenient every hour and very punctual

The hotel was good value and when you worked out the tram and bus stops linking the MTR it was a very good location. However you had to find this out for yourself as there were no leaflets to hand The pool was great on the roof and the happy hour 6-8 very good. I would definitely use the hotel again

Use he old blue star ferry. Its more romantic

Great Value hotel

We stayed here for 5 nights in Oct this year. We had a Jen Harbor View room , the view was fantastic. The rooms are okay, not very spacious, but very neat and clean. Considering this is HK we did not have much to complain esp for the money you pay.They have separate shower and toilet cubicles which was good.The closets were quite spacious, well furnished room basically.
You also get a 100HK$ minibar allowance per day which was simply superb.You can also access the internet free.
The breakfast was very ordinary. We got bored on our 2nd day itself. Few of the items would run out very quickly and we had to wait a while till the staff replaced it. There was only one attendant.
The staff is not very friendly, they lack the warmth and are quite unwelcoming. Not many speak English.
The hotel is not near any of the MTR's but there are tram and bus stops just a block away from the hotel.The airport bus A10 also stops here. The hotel has a shuttle service (they are very punctual) to the central MTR which is really convenient.
All together a good hotel,will definitely stay here again and recommend it.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Make sure to use the rooftop swimming pool and gym.

Very nice room -- especially the ocean view!
Check-in staff person was very helpful (not the one at the front desk on the ground floor, but the one on the 28th floor).

Excellent hotel in remote/quiet "residentail area", but yet, not too far away from the "tourist areas" and it is very easy to crab a taxi in front of the hotel (day or night).
Staff performance can varies (especially the staff at the front desk). Room staff are EXCELLENT. I never had to wait for more that 5 minutes when a call is placed (extra towels, etc.)

Very well designed hotel. The roof top pool with its views over HK is a big plus feature.

Overall we were very happy with the hotel. As we were with our 1 year old son we particularly pleased with the child friendly staff. Overall we were very pleased. The distance to the MRT was a slight problem but we had no trouble catching taxi's or the tram.
Hotel Feature Tip:
It's well worth upgrading to an executive room as you get to have breakfast in the very relaxed executive lounge and free happy hour drinks from 6 to 8

Great Stay!
The Hotel is in a nice neighbourhood and offers real value for money. The staff is very friendly, breakfast accomodations are very complete and the building is very clean. Pool on the roof and 24 hour gym

The hotel is located in a typical Hongkong residential area very close to the university, there are many shops close by and many well prices restaurants. The hotel has anice pool on the roof and a gym that is open 24-hours a day. The MTR is not very close but a hotel shuttle or electric city trolley can be taken to reach all interesting locations on Hongkong island. Staff is very friendly and hotel is very clean.
