good Hotel but very poor Location

Stay was avetrage due to the fact that this Hotel is located in very poor location, it was my 1st visit to Hong Kong and didn't know much about the area but after seeing the seeing the locatioi felt like i was somewhere in slum area. never thought Traders will be in such a location.

This hotel is situated in a great location overlooking the Victoria harbour and it is ideal for a short trip to Macau as it is near the Shin Tak terminal. The rooms are excellent with huge comfortable beds and it is worth considering the harbor view room. FOC wifi access is great and staff were very friendly! I will be staying here again.

I liked the stay at the Traders by Shangri La.
When we arrived the check in was fast, staff friendly. When we got to our room I was a little suprised about the small size, but it was ok, since we just wanted a place to sleep and have breakfast. The size of the bed was smaller then I expected (suposed to be queen size and it was a normal double bed). I called the front desk and after explaining that our son (4 years) was supposed to sleep in that bed with us, they agreed to put an extra bed in the room without any extra cost.
The breakfast was nice, not so many choices of cheese or ham, but good. The hotel is very near to the Tram station so you can go to central in 10-15 minutes. We could use the Traders lounge which was very convenient, food good, drinks nice.
At all times the stuff was very friendly and helpful.

Overall our stay at Traders hotel was ok. The traders club was nice however the rooms are very small! Rooms were clean and up to date. Concierge were very helpful. The view from the harbour view room was a little disappointing. Christmas lunch was also a disappointment. Location was good.

the traders lounge on 28/f has a good harbour view of the victoria harbour. we enjoyed the afternoon tea served during 5:30-7:30pm and complimentary beverages till 11pm. it is worth paying for the upgrade which also includes free breakfast for 2 adults.
hotel is located at sai wan along queens road west. there is a tram nearby hotel which brings you on a scenic tour of the hong kong island and also to the nearest mtr sheung wan station, a few tram stations away from the hotel. recommended to go on a hong kong tram ride if you haven't. day and night views aboard the hong kong tram give you different insights of the busy, face paced life in hong kong.
there is a pacific mall, clinic, "one congee" restaurant which serves good congee and noodles, 2 supermarkets within 1-2 mins walk from the hotel. ask the concierge for directions to the tram station and nearby amenities mentioned.
room is a good size by hong kong's standard. it could accommodate a queen bed and an additional rollaway bed.
overall, we enjoyed our 2 nights' stay at the traders club harbour view room, especially the club lounge benefits.
Hotel Feature Tip:
go for the upgrade to the club room if it is within your budget. worth the upgrade as it includes free breakfast too. lounge serves good decent food from 5:30-7:30pm, premium tea, freshly brewed coffee and juices till 11pm.
