Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

comfortable hotel for a long stay
comfortable, value for money, monthly rates
7.3
I stayed at Macdonnell Road hotel for 2 weeks while I was looking for something a bit more long term in Hong Kong. I found the hotel very convenient. It is a bit far from the city centre, office buildings and restaurants, you can walk to IFC and back but it’s a bit of a hike on the way back and you better be super fit; but there is a shuttle that goes to Cental/IFC every morning and the same shuttle will bring you back in the evening. Alternatively you can catch a taxi, it will cost you HKD 20 to 30 to get to Central and taxis are always available.
There is a supermarket around the corner from the hotel and you can pick up a few things for breakfast there. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast and I wasn’t impressed with lunch or dinner. The kitchen is very basic but you will be able to warm up your dinner, boil an egg or make a cup of tea.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. Ask for a room facing Central.
Overall it is a good hotel for a long stay. Botanical Gardens next door make it really pleasant, you can hear the birds chirping in the morning.

Good size room with facilities, quiet location
High standard apartment hotel
9.3
Good services, good size room and high standard of cleaningness;
Quiet location at mid-level above Central/Admalty area with close access to public transport for everything;
Happened my room facing harbour direction & able to see part of the firework on 2nd day of Chinese New Year.
Rate was very competitive & worth for value compare to those doggy accommodation available during Chinese New Year period.
Hotel restaurant offer good standard food with services.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Close to Peak Tram Station; Hong Kong Garden; IFC shopping mall next to Four Season Hotel. Quiet but convenient location for those who prefer to do some morning walk/exercise.

Decent value but cold
Clean and spacious - especially for HK
6.3
Location wasn't bad, though you will need to catch a short cab ride to get to the restaurants etc. Apartment was very spacious for HK standards (though possibly because I got an upgrade) but room temperature was cold.

Nice hotel in a good location
8.7
This hotel is well located being about a ten or fifteen minute was from Central Station and the centre of the shopping and business district. It's also very close to the nightlife areas, Long Kuai Fong and Wan Chai. The rooms are quite small but clean and with a kitchenette. The upper floors (I was on 17) have good views over Hong Kong. There is a good room service menu and well priced although I did not sample from it. The breakfast area is nice with good views. There is a bet small Gym with a couple of treadmills, a stepper and weights machine. Whilst not a luxury hotel, it is comfortable and good value for money. It's strongest point is its location.
