when it comes to the usa hostel it is very much a 'get what you pay for' scenario.
they don't come much cheaper in hong kong so for travellers on a shoe string you can't go far wrong with this place.
the room is clean and the location is convenient for those just coming off the star ferry or the metro.
one small issue you may have is that usa hostel can be a little tricky to find.

Very good location but small room

Great location near mtr station, very convenient & cheaper than other hotel after we compare.
Somemore many choices for food around the hostel.
But, we feel a bit dirty especially the towel & glass, & very crowded for the lift we go up or down everytime.

Great Location

I was staying at USA Hostel for 6 Days 5 Night and request for extend for few more hour due to my boy friend want to shopping, haha.. It was a great location to acces all places, for an example, Harbour City shopping center, MTR, food center, pharmacy and etc. The room was quite small but is nice, maybe is because it is a corner side so is fully of window and i can look down to watch out the people walking around. Air conditioner was working very well. Just have something they need to improve is the toilet was too small and water will come out when you taking bath, so, careful on this. Water heater have a timing but they will turn it on for you when you request, so is not a problem. For a conclusion, USA Hostel is a great and budget hostel that you can stay for. I have recommend it to my aunty, they will staying at there on this coming December.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you decide to visit Disneyland, you can purchase the Disneyland ticket from them, there are cheaper than counter. They also provide one day tour to some places, can check it out with them.

Convenient and easy to access to all palce.location is good and there are free wifi. just a couple of min to the mtr, and avenue of stars is only a 10min walk. just that remember to bring your own toiletries as the hostel would just provide towel for you.

very bad, without window, tiny bathroom. my husband said the area of bathroom is just 4 chairs. he will not go to USA any more. he is happy that did not go there with his colleagues, otherwise will be laughted at. he is totally disappointed.

good location next to mtr
locate in the center of shopping area and mtr station, fair room but a bit expensive for peak season.

Very noisy, only cleaned weekly, holes in towels

The hostel itself is hard to find - you have to go inside the building and if the first lift on the right usnt working keep walking, then turn right, then turn left and fight your way onto a lift. Get up to 13th floor and you have no idea where to go. Keep walking around and you will eventually find it. You will be greeted by unfriendly staff who will ask for a HK$100 room key deposit so have cash handy. If you are lucky you may get a room with a street view. We knew this room would be very small so be prepared. The bathroom was the only thing cleaned weekly. All of our towels had holes which was not very nice. Also be prepared when you walk out of the building each day to be hassled by people selling copy watches, copy handbags and asking if you want a tailor -so avoid eye contact and keep saying no if you ignore they keep hassling!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
This hostel is close to everything, shopping, train, ferry, attractions

Good location to mtr or ferry and with wifi!
Location is good with tourism attraction all around the hostel.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Walk towards south of the map for 10min from the hostel and you will reach the avenue of stars!
