Great location but unattentive hotel staff
proximity to tourists attraction
6.3
When they handed me the key and look for my room, there's not even a sign leading to where the USA Hostel is, so i went back to the reception to ask help. I strongly suggest they should change the signage of "Venetian Hostel" to "USA Hostel" (at the 14/F) to avoid confusion.
The Filipina staff positioned outside the reception should also be more attentive to inquiries, I spoke to her in Filipino upon learning she was also a Filipino and expected her to respond in enthusiasm (like other Filipinos we met along the way) considering that she works with the hostel, but we were dissappointed with her responses.
Anyway, despite of the above, we find their room very clean, a good view of Nathan road and a good smile from the Chinese receptionist.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The regular entrance fee of Ocean Park is $280, but you can buy at the MTR exit (admiralty station) for only $250)
Try the Big bus, all the routes, you will find them right after the Ferry Terminal.

Good location but very small rooms
Walking distance to most of the tourist spots and shopping areas. Very accessible

Hot shower is not available 24 hours. Elevator is always full but you can use the lifts on the other side. Good security.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Always bring your passport especially if you are out late

very small room
Good location. Accessible to all of HK and Kowloon because the MTR station is right beside the building.
6.3
Over all, the hotel is ok because we are out most of the day. The good location is the plus factor of this hotel. But the bathroom is so small and the beds too. The lift is always full
Travel tip:
Be wary of people who are really looking for preys.

Great location but small rooms
7.3
the hotel is located conveniently very near by to the mtr station and there are a lot of shops around it.
the rooms are quite small and cramp.
the toilet is quite small too.
it is more of a hostel so can not expect hotel facilities and service.
hot water has a timing and if you miss the timing you will bathe in the cold water.

It's interesting, definitely not bad, nor good
Its in the "middle" of the city, Everything is reachable within minutes, its clean, its convenient, its cheap

The Honkies prefer the "vertical" way. I didn't realize that its possible to build a complete business like a hostel on a single floor of a house, but yes, one hostel after the other. The USA Hostel is for sure one of the better ones in this house. The business is a proper business with a real reception and everything, just on the 13th floor. The Room I had was equipped with an aircondition (which could use some cleaning [bacteria cleaning] cause it smelled a little bit funny), also I had a TV (with 3 chinese channels), a double-bed and a shower&toilet which was small but okay and twice a day with warm water. It is referred as the "Double Deluxe room". I can recommend it for people who don't care about the definition of "deluxe". Who needs a clean bed, a hot shower (in the morning and in the evening with warm water), filtered tap-water on the floor and some privacy is definitely on the right place. Someone who is used to proper hotel-rooms should go for something from 80-100€/day up.
But hey, you are in a very busy area of hong kong. Go out, have fun, enjoy the markets and everything else there.
