Grim corridors, reasonable but basic rooms.
5.3
I wasn't overawed by the hotel. The corridors were unswept when I arrived, although they had been cleaned by morning. The room was no frills but I suppose was reasonable for the price. It would serve for a backpacker on a budget just wanting to get out and see Hong Kong and the location is very good.

Many hotels in the Mirador Mansion, The opposite I-Square. Small room and had no soap and shampoo. No wardrobe. No refrigerator. TV wall. hot water and cold water for free in out side. The receptionist had not friendly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Avenue of Stars and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The best view of A Symphony of Lights.Along the Tsim Sha Tsui.

I stayed at this hostel and the venetian room was comfortable and clean. The only downside is that housekeeping don't actually knock before entering. The rooms were small but thats to be expected in Hong Kong.

nice hotel and service, great location
free internet, clean rooms, daily clearing of rubbish
7.7
room was a bit small for 2 people, but it was maintained daily. there is a common area with fridge and water dispenser, and free internet is also provided. they also sell discounted disneyland and ocean park tix, but the discounts given by mtr tourist package was more. aircon and water heater were working great. there is a timing for water heater (7am-12pm, 7pm-12am), but it was still on when we showered beyond the hours. location is in a prime area where there are shopping
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
from here, everywhere else is very accessible via the mtr or bus, so it is a very good location. ladies market is a couple of stations away and the ferry terminal is walking distance (which is also the place for symphony of lights).

small room
the only good thing about this hotel is easy access to many famous hong kong spots.
3.7
cheap but crappy. the location is almost perfect, but there are so many risks you should take. if you are a young, enthusiastic man, you should try once. if not, don't ever try this hotel.

Simple Hotel with basic facilities
in tst, clean, helpful owner
7.3
i was at hk for the first time and i have heard about how small my room will be. considering the cost and accounts from my friends, i didn't have high expectation for my room. was pleasantly surprised that the room was clean with an attached bathroom and a table in the room to place my bags. aircon in room was a bit noisy though. money changers downstairs at mirador mansion was convenient. overall experience was satisfactory for a solo budget female traveler. cheers!
Shopping Tip:
Sasa sells really cheap cosmetic stuff. Bought 3 eye mask for the price of SGD$1!

5.3
The room is clean, not that nice but okay. The staffs are problematic, they cannot even spare you a smile.
