The location of this hotel is very convenient, partway between Wanchi and Central MTR stations. Located on the main street there is lots in the immediate area to see and do.
There was a news paper on my door each morning for free, and I received some complementary snacks. They also allowed me to use the internet for free for 15 minutes. The walls were dirty and the bathtub did not drain properly which meant that I was standing in water up to my ankles when taking a shower. There was no hair dryer for drying my hair after getting out of the shower.
I was supposedly on a non-smoking floor; however, the person in the next room was smoking.
Although I was placed on the 21st floor, the noise from cars, people and the general area outside was loud enough to wake me up in the morning. Overall I think the hotel is a little bit overpriced for what I got.
I understand that since the hotel is in a prime location that it generally costs more, however, I think that it could have been a little bit cleaner or the price could have been a bit less than what it was.
The hotel lobby and outside the hotel was pretty clean
Travel tip : Causeway Bay MTR station is less than a 10 minute walk!

I love, love, love the location of this place. Part Causeway Bay, part Wanchai. An excellent combination for the shopper, tourist, and food lover. This hotel is located less than 5 minutes from the Causeway Bay MTR Station (shopping area) and 10-15 mins walk from Star Ferry Wanchai pier that has boats going straight to Kowloon (1/3 of the price of using the MTR to get there), which was incredibly convenient. Our room was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities (and more- bottled water, juice, and snacks for two, all free of charge). Staff was helpful and knowledgeable of the area and available transportation (helped us find our way to the pier for a day trip to Macau). When I first read other people's reviews about this hotel I was very apprehensive in booking, but I was shocked at how nice it actually was. Honestly I found absolutely nothing wrong with this place. I would definitely recommend to friends and plan to stay at this place again. With the central location and quality of services I could see rooms going for at least $100USD+. People who complain about the room size obviously haven't spent much time in Asian hotels, because I have stayed in 4-star hotels in downtown Tokyo (double the price) that are on par with this place. Seriously. We had a 16th floor standard room, and, sure, it's not the prettiest view from the room window, but when you're in the middle of a city especially like Hong Kong there's really not much else to look at other than buildings unless you're on the beach or hill (good luck finding hotels like that at the Walden Hotel price). We had a great experience at this hotel, so don't hesitate in booking this place.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you have the time and a few hundred HKD left, definitely take a day trip to Macau if you can. It's about 200HKD per way and takes maybe an hour. Macau has a different feel than Hong Kong and is easy to navigate with a map, although be aware that fewer people (aside from help desk staff) speak English.

The hotel provides free broadband service but not the cable! The hotel is conveniently located, value for money and provides good level of service. The downside is the TV is abit too small. Although it's stated that it provides free broadband service but was surprised they do not provide the cable! Were told to purchase from nearby shop at wee hours.
