Great cheap place to stay at the end of the metro

Convenient to the metro as the hotel is right above it. Not much in the way of a restaurant there, the coffee machine broke when I ordered a latte, but, overall, the rooms were clean and comfortable for a hostel-type of hotel. Staff very attentive. Large, expansive rooms with a great view of the city from the higher floors. It is part of a community center so expect to see some locals around.

Comfortable hotel at a right price

Like the hotel because it's got gym facilities, laundry services and the security is satisfactory.
Very close to MTR Chai Wan Station so i think it's very convenient to travel from point to point in hong kong, just buy a daily pass then you are ready to go.

its a quite place by the metro station

its on last station of island line... nice quite place and nobody bothers you while you stay there .... room is nice and clean. they have self laundry service within the building... lobby is on 12th floor, staff is helpful and speak english ... there is 24 hours 7-11 on ground floor... if you don't mind 20-25 mins train ride to central station (downtown) then its the place... last train service is around mid night from chai wan station (hotel station) ...
Travel tip:
quite play to stay and away from downtown hustle and bustle..

far from the central but right next to the mtr. if you want night life, this youth square is not for you. it is ok for me as the mtr runs every two minutes power adapter is sold for not provided nor lend it to you:) staff look like youth volunteers not professionally trained. some are cocky others are indifferent lol they leave us alone

although it's a hostel, i think the y-loft came across more as a small boutique hotel. room was nice, key card and all, clean, nicely designed with modern aesthetics. bathroom was big by hongkong standards, the shower was separate from the toilet. basic amenities like hot water kettle and hairdryer etc were also provided for. we also had a nice balcony which we sadly never used! overall, really comfy pleasant stay with a spacious room, but i do think that it is a tad far from central. would take 30mins on the metro to central, and at least 40mins to tst, mongkong etc.

Far out location from city - lazy customer service

this place was so far out from the city, having been the last stop on the blue mtr line. however, it is very close to the mtr station so if you don't mind the 20 minute travel to central / admiralty etc, then it's not so bad.
the rooms were big and clean - that was definitely a plus. for the price you pay, it's definitely good value!
unfortunately, one very bad thing about staying here was the lazy customer service from the front desk. they're terribly unhelpful - they never go out of their way for you. in fact, they get away with doing the least possible. when asked if one of the girls could show me where the taxi's were, she pointed out the window to some obscure spot. it wasn't like she was busy - there was 2 other people behind the counter (all with nothing to do)....so i don't see why she couldn't have at least gone down the elevators with me to show me. this hotel had soooo many entry and exit points, so it was actually quite confusing to see how to get to the taxi stand she was pointing to.
she refused to go down the elevators to show me. and they never ever help you with your luggage. i'm a girl travelling alone, you would think the guys behind the counter could help carry your luggage if they saw you were struggling with four heavy bags/suitcases.
the rooms are fine, but the service here was sub par. and when you ask the front desk if they can help with anything, they always provide you with the bare minimum information or they try and give you some brief sloppy answer and seem to get annoyed when you require more details.
i'm never going back to this place again - it's too far out of the way from the city and the service is terrible.
Restaurant Tip:
there is a supermarket very close to this (go down through exit A of the MTR station)- plus restaurants litter the road around the MTR.

We had a very relaxing stay because the room was very spacious, clean and had all the essentials. The area where the hotel is located offers a great way to experience how the locals live. There is a marketplace, at least two parks, a mall, some supermarkets, several blocks of food stalls, restaurants and bakeshops. The food in this area is cheap and very delicious.

it locates at the very convenience location. near the MTR station. it takes only few minutes walking distant the the chai wan MTR station. also, walking distance to the shopping mall. comfortable and spaces room. since it is surrendering by residential area, streets are very quiet after 11 p.m. must be very careful and be sure the safety. enjoyable staying. price is right and will commend friends and relatives staying with it.
