Clean and nice room
The room is spacious and location is great, with proximity to MTR station.

if you don't mind being a 20 minute mtr ride from central, stay here. it's modern, stylish and clean. my room was spacious (rare in hk!) stylishly decorated with en suite bathroom, tv, fridge, kettle and free wifi. the staff are very friendly and super-welcoming.
Shopping Tip:
I'm happy our family stayed at Y-loft. Although the Loft is the last station of the Island Line (Hong Kong Island), it is very near MTR exits A and E. It actually has a footbridge directly to the loft. We preferred to use Exit E because its easier to follow . On the upside, the loft is clean and quiet.

Great rooms

For some reason we expected a swimming pool but there was none so if you are looking for a pool forget this hotel. The rooms, however, were very nice, new , modern, spacious and clean. The hotel is close to the metro albeit at the very end of the line. Staff were friendly and helpful and the price was excellent for such a room by Hong Kong standards.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel is directly connected to the metro line station but, be sure to find the way from the station from inside rather than going out into the street.

It was a decent room although the toilet was small. Clean and tidy. Could be a bit noisy because the other guests talk loudly... they are teenagers so probably more excited to stay out. close to a mall with food and shops.

we have only 4 days in HK so we are out most of the time. just come back for sleep. the hotel is a 25 min train ride from Central Station and more from Kowloon, which is a bit too long. good thing is hotel is very near to the Chai Wan mtr exit.
Room service is ok. And the room with balcony has not too much difference with the normal one.
Toilet is too small and I didn't expect that.

- location is quiet, friendly residents (gained some HK friends here ^_^)
- adjacent to 2 shopping malls (New Jade Shopping Mall and Hing Wah Commercial Center)
- very near Chai Wan MTR station
- very comfortable bed/ room
- iconic bar serves cheap and tasty snacks (but croissant is weird - with separate boiled eggs *_*)
- friendly hotel staff
cons:
- hotel is like an industrial building
- very far from city center but MTR ride to central only takes less than 30 mins
Shopping Tip:
There are shopping malls nearby but closes early at night same with restaurant. So my advice is to eat early at night (before 9 PM). Also, the mall has a shortcut route from MTR to the hotel back room/ lift.

We're repeated customers of Y-loft, a fan of its reasonable prices and convenient location although it's not at the city center, only 3 minutes from Chai Wan MTR station. Also like that it provides free wifi and gym. The only drawbacks are that furniture are not very well-maintained with cups stains on wooden tables, and the room's rather humid. We could also hear noises easily from the outside, but for its price it's a very good deal.
