Simple, clean, and convienient
Close to the MTR, quiet, new
7.7
If your not looking for extravagance, this is the place for you in Hong Kong. It's very basic, but it's nice and clean and larger than most hotels in Hong Kong in its price range. The 20-25 minute commute to Central was not a big deal and worth the quiet at night, but keep it in mind. For our situation, this place was perfect and we would definitely return again.
Travel tip:
It's a bit hard to find, but if you go on the main skyridge/platform in Chai Wan, look for Youth Square and you can't miss it. Be sure to indicate when you want your towels or sheets changed, or they won't since they are eco-friendly and bring your own toiletries. The mall and 7-11 near by were great.

Everything was very nice. Patal Hotel is located in the center, but the price offset distance. Next to the metro and a very cheap money can get to the center. I recommend that everyone who wants to save on accommodation in Hong Kong. Hotels cheap but very good and convenient.

I enjoyed staying at the Y-loft
Easy access to MTR (subway), interesting location in residential area, shopping and food close by.

I took a bus from the airport, but got off at the wrong station and ended up taking a 7 minute to the hostel. It would have been much easier to take the train from the airport and transfer to the subway which has a stop across the street from the Y-loft.
The building is fairly new and the rooms are clean and modern in a Scandinavian way.
I liked being in a residential area surrounded by tall apartment complexes to witness how most residents of Hong Kong live. Buying an all-day subway ticket and walking across the street to the station provided easy access to all parts of Hong Kong.
The staff were friendly and helpful and I found a variety of breakfast options in the mall across the street, including dim sum. The Y-loft has a laundry room with machines and irons which came in handy since I had no more clean clothes when I arrived.
I had a little difficulty using the wifi, but was supplied a cord that plugged directly into the modem for seamless Internet access.
I paid much more for these Hong Kong accommodation than what I had paid in Hanoi and Bangkok, but from what I gather, this was a good buy for this city. Clean, convenient and safe.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Use the subway and get tourist one day tickets

Comfortable room size but location is too far away from the central district. Though it's just 5 minutes away from the MTR, you'll need to take at least half an hour journey to reach the financial district.
