Nice large hotel. Friendly staff, willing to help. It's not far from the Taj Mahal.
The food at the buffet can be improved.
It's the perfect place to stay in Agra. The hotel is indeed beautiful, the gardens are large and very well taken care of. We almost wanted to stay longer in Agra just to enjoy the hotel more.
The staff was very helpful, friendly and efficient.
The rooms are clean, spacious and bright.

Indian restaurant(Patraa)serves great food.
Gardens are lovely and hotel is very peaceful.
Hotel has the layout and feel of a resthouse - very basic and uninspiring public areas, restaurants and bar.
Staff were very polite and friendly but largely unhelpful when faced with unusual requests (eg late check out).
Breakfast buffet was large but uninspiring.
The Jaypee Palace is a very large hotel (300+) rooms and clearly caters mostly for large tour groups. As a result they do not seem to have teh individual traveller in mind. If you want a hotel with character, helpful staff and interesting restaurants, bars and public space don't go here. It represented reasonably good value for money but it is a faceless, featureless hotel that is instantly forgetable.
Restaurant Tip : If you want to eat at Patraa the hotel's Indian restaurant book a table as the restaurant is small and is clearly popular with local families.

rooms had poor fixtures and fittings. Water was brown in one room therefore had to move rooms late at night. No effort made to refund some of the cost or upgrade room considering the room was a mess
Disappointed with the check in process where the wrong visa details were notedand the fact that the first room we checked into 2402 had brown muddy running water- no effort made to upgrade our room or offer us something to compensate for inconvenience in changing room late at night!
