Located on the edge of Lake Vembanad this boutique-style resort enjoys gentle breezes rustling through the coconut palms around its perimeter.The rustic, ethnic Kerala cottages (Tharavads) feature roofless bathrooms providing a natural bathing experience while still remaining private, and are surrounded by expansive lawns leading right up to the lake.The central dining area is open to the elements allowing a cooling breeze to drift through and provides a relaxing dining experience. As a small-scale resort - only 12 Tharavads - meals are cooked to order and the chef requires around one-hours’ notice. Extra large hammocks slung between the coconut trees outside each room provide a relaxing venue from which to watch the traditional kettuvallams (house boats), fishing, and cruising boats on the lake.

Lovely hotel and pool but noisy surroundingo

Unfortunately, parking lot for houseboat next to our room. The occupants of the houseboat do not care about the quietness of the hotel. Needed to request the lakeview I had booked. Ordinary food and breakfast compared to other places

Lovely setting, staff needs to learn basic english
Lake side rooms are great!

We stayed for two nights and I love the setting, the food and the pool. I do not like that only ONE of the reception staff speaks english! It is no problem if you don't need anything but if you do you are sunk if the one man who speaks english is not around. They smille and shake their heads but can not be of any assistance what so ever.

We paid of the lake view and were not given a lake view on the first day and i had to bring it up with the manager several times. They gave me a rupees credit for day 1 and managed to put me in a lake view room on day 2. Hate to compromise after paying so much.
Hard to find the hotel and the signs are not really visible. Locals very helpful in directing us to this place. The road leading into the resort is very narrow and fits only one car, so if you are claustrophobic, get off and walk!!
Restaurant staff is very nice and friendly. Food typically takes time to arrive but the quality and taste was excellent. Worth the wait.
