The Ajanta Ambassador Hotel is a quiet retreat with green environs, ten minutes from the airport and 25 from downtown Aurangabad and the railway. Day trips to the Ajanta and Ellora caves are organized by the tour desk and staff is always on hand to advise on catching rickshaws or the bus to town. Other sites of interest include the Daulatabad Fort, Aurangabad Caves, and the replica of the 'Taj Mahal'. With 14 acres of land at its disposal, it's not surprising that this hotel offers lots of outdoor activities, jogging track and mini golf included. Interiors are 1970s deluxe with a touch of Mughal, a smattering of ethnic artworks and much gold detailing a look that might be extravagant if not for the hotel's retro appeal. Rooms are simply decorated and some have views of the garden and pool area, a pretty outlook of palms, flowerbeds and people sunning themselves on lawns. The Ajanta Ambassador meets all the needs of guests traveling to this Maharashtrian city.

Close to Ajanta caves and Aurangabad
Very polite and helpful staff. They arranged my excusions in Southern India. The hotel has the best location either for business as well for visiting the amazing ancient sites of Ajanta caves and monuments. Very clean hotel with also a very good restaurant. The hotel also wields a very good price-quality ratio.
Travel tip : You can't miss the sites of the Ajanta Caves and monuments.
