Good location with small rooms -pleasant to stay!

This is my first one night stay visit to Bangalore. Booking with Agoda made the reservation simple, easy & hassle free. The room at Basant was comfy and clean. Free wifi was available in the room though it was slow but ok for Skype. They had a travel desk at the hotel to arrange for tours & airport transfers. Food was pure vegetarian - simple and nice. Walking distance to shopping areas. I would certainly recommend Basant Residency to collegues in Malaysian visiting Bangalore if they are on a budget stay

I booked this central hotel reading positive reviews. The room itself is big and quiet, although very dark as the window does not face a street. Smell comes from the bathroom, the room seem to have been redecorated but the bathroom is not. Service is atrocious, they told me no need to reserve taxi to airport at reception, while instead they ended up overcharging extra for not having booked it. Also waiter are a bit clueless and the staff seem to work around the clock or simply to long hour to be efficient. The area has not modern restaurants to eat in, is always busy and loud, many lodges around probably providing better rooms for a lot less this overprised hotel
Restaurant Tip:
a rickshaw will take you to MG road in 15 minutes, be prepared to sit in traffic for a long time. There you ll find many eating options

Our fabulous Vegetarian restaurant is famous for its culinary wonders making it a highly visited hub for the authentic North Karnataka cuisine - Baby cucumbers from Bijapur, delicious Brinjal Curry, Jowar Rotis, washed with a thin Sambar, pungent Rasam along with other favourites such as ‘karabele’, ’yeserbele, ’gorikai’ and ‘jhunka’, all from the kitchen of special cooks and housewives from Bijapur.
Apart from its popular North Karnataka cuisine, Amruta also serves Chinese, Continental, North & South Indian dishes.
