The moment guests arrive at this luxurious fortress, it is no mystery that The Leela Palace Hotel was designed and conceptualized with royalty in mind. Though the highly trained staff creates the feeling of being hidden away from the chaos of metropolitan life, the heart of the city is only a few minutes away. The train station is just 10 km away while the airport is 45 km away from the hotel. MG Road, the entertainment as well as business hub is just five km away from The Leela Palace, while the IT hub of Whitefield is approximately a 30 minute drive away. Surrounded by beautiful lagoons and landscaping, the scenery does not disappoint. Enjoy transcontinental and Pan-Asian cuisine from the Citrus, Jamavar and Zen restaurants. Spend relaxing evenings with a good book and strong drink at the English styled Library Bar. For a luxurious and pampered stay when in the 'Garden City' The Leela Palace should be your hotel of choice.

Inflexible policies to extent of being rather unreasonable.
For the price paid, I do not feel welcomed. Definitely would not recommend.

Looks and feels like you are staying in a Palace

Customer service is a real area of opportunity. When I reached there, 2 rooms were reserved in my name and they wanted me to pay a one day rent for 2nd room because it was held in my name. It was clear mistake and I don't why it was such a big deal to fix the issue. I showed them all the documentation and still they were not ready to udnerstand it. Anyway, things were resolved after the manager intervened. Then they came up with the issue of only 1 person was marked when I was there with my wife. How does it matter? They made a big deal of it. The final nail in the coffin was the day when I was leaving. They wanted to charge my credit card again when I had already paid the entire amount on my credit card 1 month in advance. It took them 1 hr. to resolve the issue with my travel agent sitting in UK. The whole experience sucked. The Hotel is Great. It is just that they have to train their employee to use their commons sense which is not very common there.

Food, drink and entertainment
Zen - Restaurant As the name would suggest, Zen is the pan-Asian restaurant at The Leela Palace Bangalore. And bliss from the Orient is what awaits the culinary traveller. Sample Japanese, Thai, Korean, Singaporean and Balinese delights. And if eating at counters catches your fancy, we’ve spoilt you for choice – Sushi, Teppanyaki, Yakitori, Korean barbeque and a noodle bar. And they’re perfectly complemented by a wide choice of drinks, including Japanese Sake and Korean Soju. And if you like to eat to your heart’s content, you’ve come to the right place. Dim Sum, Cantonese for “order to your heart’s content”, is our lunch speciality.
Library Bar In a well-read city, a library seems an obvious choice as inspiration. Welcome to the Library Bar at The Leela Palace Kempinski Bangalore. A throwback to the times of the Raj, this old English lounge is for gentlemen who want to sit amidst dark wood and leather interiors and unwind to their favoured tipple. While thumbing through one of our collectors’ item books, preferably.
Jamavar - Restaurant Jamavar is the Indian speciality restaurant at The Leela Palace Kempinski Bangalore. Journey with our master chefs as they take you on a culinary voyage spanning the length of India. Representing the north are succulent kebabs and fragrant biryanis while the southern cuisines are spoken for by some delectable curries. The entire experience is perfectly complemented by the finest choice in single malts, liqueurs and Cognac. While reminders of royalty, like the bespoke silver cutlery and the flower laden urli in the centre of your table, will invigorate your senses, much like the Indian classical music wafting around.
Citrus - Restaurant True to its name, Citrus is the refreshing brasserie at The Leela Palace Kempinski Bangalore. Open around-the-clock, this is where you savour the range of food that makes Citrus unique in the culinary circuit of the city – the freshest salads, perfects pastas and risottos and freshly-made pizzas in our own wood-fired oven!
