Old fit out, expensive non impressive restaraunt
We checked into this hotel for one night. Whilst it is probably the nicest hotel in the city, the fit out is very old and it is unfortunate that they have allowed the hotel to become somewhat run down. The restaraunt was very expensive and they were veyr hesitant to provide the "other" menu for more local food because it was "spicy" (despite the "other" menu being much cheaper).

The hotel was quiet and secure and the rooms were large and comfortable.
We wanted to do a camel safari and inquired at reception but was told there was not enough guests to run one. No effort was made to assist and we had to go to the internet and then caught a rickshaw to the guesthouse run and owned by the "camel man " and went on one that evening . The hotel could have organized all this for us , we would have been happier to pay for the service , rather than spending all afternoon making our own arrangements.
The hotel was clean and rooms were large and comfortable . Plenty of hot water. There were old historical photos on display throughout the hotel. Felt like living in a beautiful living museum. Was quiet and plenty of security , but only a short rickshaw ride from the center of Bikaner. The grounds are huge and the staff are very enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge regarding the history of the hotel and the area.
